Lovely grounds, beautiful beach and pools. The breakfast included in the price was delicious. Fruit, eggs, French toast, different every day and always good. Excellent service and will definitely go back
Robert's is a nice resort, but Placencia is not a beach place. What I mean by this is that the beach is narrow, steep, and to my reckoning often covered in seaweed. In the town, set up as a small village, there is a larger...More
Was surprised that you had to wait till 3:00 to check in and was not satisfied by eating at sea view restaurant and they having a cat roaming about in the restaurant it’s suppose to be a high star place to eat and having animal...More
Our beachfront one bedroom suite was clean, quiet, and well furnished. The only television was in the bedroom, but watching TV wasn't the primary reason we vacationed in Placencia. As others have noted, the staff is friendly and attentive and, since the property is several miles...More
Room is spacious, nicely appointed, clean, good a/c. Breeze and view from the balconey is rewarding. Far enough from downtown Placencia to be secluded, close enough for convenient and easy visits. Restaurant is pleasant, prices fair. Drinks ample. Wait staff very accomodating. Pools refreshing and...More

I have a house in Placencia so have done both. Flying is quick and the views are great, however the drive is nicer and a car gives you the flexibility to explore on the way. It also makes it easy to get around in the Placencia area. You will most likely end up renting a golf cart while there anyway so might as well get a car from Belize City. The cost will be the same as flying (including your gas) plus the freedom gained! On the drive there is the must see Belize zoo, the inland blue hole, Marie Sharp's hot sauce factory and more.
The road is paved all the way and is almost all in quite good condition as there was a lot of maintenance done this year. Mind the speed bumps! They are all over and meant to slow traffic to keep pedestrians, motorcyclists and bicycle riders safe. It is a 3 hour drive. There are a few single lane bridges too. Keep safe and only pass when you are sure it's safe. Locals will sometimes pass anytime! I still recommend driving. Additionally, you can then stay late in town and back to Robert's Grove whenever you want. No shuttle waiting or calling!

No it isn't, breakfast was included and it was great. The two restaurants and drink options are reasonably priced. We really didn't spend that much money while we were staying there and the food and drinks were a lot better than other all inclusives I usually go to.
