I have stayed at The Chaleanor 5 times and will be back again next year. Let's face it, you're probably not vacationing in Dangriga, you're probably transferring to a boat, bus, or plane somewhere else. Although The Chaleanor is a basic hotel, it has helpful amenities, a wide range of room options, great location, and the family that runs it...

Room was listed at $60 in our guidebook. We did not make a reservation just headed straight to the hotel. The owner said she did not have cheaper rooms only family size. She wanted over $90 but she gave us 10% discount since I said I don't think we could afford it. She said we will like the room why...

The room was as pictured, and the staff was great. The hotel is about 2 blocks from the Caribbean and a park, but the immediate neighborhood is a bit rough looking. When I asked about parking on the street, the receptionist told me that I should park on the property. We did find a Chinese restaurant close by that served...

Simple, clean rooms. Nice outdoor garden space to relax in the morning and access to the rooftop to have a drink and observe the city at night. Family-owned, belizean owned hotel. Owners were helpful and friendly. Coffee, tea and bananas in the morning were a nice touch.

The problem of locally owned place in this country is: goes with their schedule, instead of the tourists. For example, the place has a terrace top that is perfect to see the sunrise but they don't open the gate till they feel like it is time to open. They offer free coffee and bananas but when they are ready (meanwhile,...

I stayed in the economy room and it was perfect for me. Basic but super clean. The family is very helpful, the rooftop view is great and the coffee a plus! I would recommend this place to all. And will stay again-

Room was clean and comfortable, and Chad and Eleanor were very friendly. The roof top area offered a great spot to view the sun rise and sun set, and get oriented to the city. A very convenient location, especially if you're on foot.

We slept at this hotel for one night. Really easy to get to from the bus station. We enjoyed the view. The rooms are clean but very basic. I recommend staying here. They had hot water and a restaurant.

I had two unexpected days in Dangriga during my trip and gave the Chaleanor a try. I loved it. Beautiful building, nice staff and room. A minute to the beach, two to the main drag and maybe four minutes to Stann Creek. There is a nice side garden and a roof top view of everything.

The owners of Chaleanor were very pleasant and kind. Unfortunately, the rooms available were not up to standard as far as being comfortable and everything working. The plus was our room was clean. They are trying to expand their hotel, but I probably would not stay here again if I'm visiting Dangriga.

“I stayed in a small private room, which needs mosquito nets. For those who have trouble with bugs, please be prepared. The back rooms are small with only a bed and a fun so that you would be spending time at their garden where there are lot of mosquitoes as well.”
