We stayed at duPlooys for 4 nights over the 2017 holiday. We’re a family of 5 and stayed in the Macal bungalow. The staff is so friendly and helpful - office, food staff, drivers, everybody. The bungalow was very comfortable although we didn’t spend much...More

My New Year's Resolution - to respond to reviews. On behalf of my staff and myself, I'd like to wish you a very Happy 2018 and also to thank you for giving us such a positive review. Everyone here really appreciates the good feedback.
DuPlooys took care of all our transfers and tours including an overnight in Tikal. Everything was perfectly arranged without a glitch. The lodge itself is right in the jungle but not so far from the main road (1.6 miles of mostly decent dirt road) so...More

Nope, it is hot. Each room has an overhead fan and this is the standard in every jungle type lodge I have ever stayed in Belize. The only one I have seen A/C is a family sized luxury unit at Chan Chich in Belize. I stay there every chance I get but have not stayed in that 1 unit as it is too big for me and it is very expensive.
