We stayed the first 5 days at the river camp which was rustic in cabins with screen windows kerosene lamps and located above the river. We were the only ones there and were cared for by a local couple Dosio and Francesca who cooked our meals and taught us about the place. A highlite was when the howler monkey tribe...

When I booked the Lodge at Chaa Creek I went because of the numerous recommendations from friends that have visited and the overwhelming positive reviews online. The Chaa Creek experience was very nice. The rooms were very spacious even without air conditioning the large ceiling and floor fan provided enough cool to be comfortable. The showers had trouble staying at...

Marvellous location to visit the ATM Caves and Caracol Mayan Ruins. Hotel can pick you up from Belize Airport but when you leave I suggest you fly to your next destination as affordable and you can cram more into your holiday. You would have seen plenty of the countryside with your day trips. Ideally stay 5 nights to really benefit...

My daughter & I had a wonderful experience at the camp site. The service was really great and the staff were all friendly, helpful and very nice. This would be a 5 star review if not for the reviewer's affinity for air conditioning (fans just don't cut it on hot, muggy nights). Grounds were an excellent mix between untouched rainforest and thoughtfully crafted lodging and amenities. Definitely gets you closer to becoming one with nature. Warning: be prepared to share your space with the geckos as they...

I truly enjoyed this weekend escapade. The landscape and archeological design was breath taken. The magnetic ambience of the resort promoted a sweet bond with nature at it's best. The service was exceptional, the activities were in abundance and the dining and accommodations were top of the line. This resort comes with high recommendation from me.

We spent 3 nights at Chaa Creek, and wish we'd stayed at least a couple more. This is an EcoResort, but don't confuse that with roughing it or going without. What it means is that you stay in a very cool cabana (ours could accommodate up to 6 people) made with a lot of native woods and natural materials and...

Chaa Creek is an idyllic setting in the jungle with secluded bungalow accommodations done in native style but with modern conveniences. Our thatch roof bungalow was large and very comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and there is nice pool. They have canoes to explore the river and night walks to expire the wildlife. The only downside was that we were...

“If you don't like stairs, ask for a room on the same or nearly same level as the bar and restaurant, pathways are in very good condition, but steps can be challenging for the elderly.”
