My husband and I were thoroughly enchanted with our experience at Pook's Hill. The staff were friendly and helpful and the cabanas were a bit primitive but comfortable. And oh so cute! The lodge runs entirely on solar power so full electricity is limited to a couple of hours each morning and evening. The cabanas are equipped with battery powered... More

Our family of 6 had a fantastic experience... we wouldn't have changed a thing. The location is remote, but gorgeous. We loved our cabanas and all the sights and sounds of the jungle. We spent many hours relaxing and playing games in the central lodge. We enjoyed exploring the onsite Mayan ruins and searching for tarantulas in the evening. The... More

My partner and I recently spent 4 nights at Pook's Hill Lodge. The staff was extremely friendly and greeted us as we arrived. It was off-season so we almost had the place to ourselves. At first, it seemed the lodge was out of the way, but once we started doing some of the various jungle activities (zip lining, cave tubing,... More

I stayed for 3 nights in September. Pooks Hill was a beautiful, relaxing and friendly place to stay. As it was the low season i was the only person there but the staff, manager and owner Ray were so friendly and helpful that it really made my stay. The lodge is off the beaten track in its own jungle paradise.... More

When you drive into Pook's hill Lodge you really feel like you are off the beaten track. However, upon arriving and settling in you really feel at home. It is a great place to unwind, and relax. We hiked quite a bit in and around the Lodge, and we loved Mike. He was very knowledgeable about the Lodge and all... More

My husband and I stayed at Pook's Hill for two nights. Although there is no air conditioning, we were quite comfortable with the fans provided. The service and tours offered are top notch and the family eating style is a fun way to get to know the other guests and the owners. I was awed by the different types of... More

Back in the jungle and Pook's Hill were we always return while visting Belize. This time we stayed in the Bird Walk Cabanas, built on platforms out over the creek and jungle. Dinners are buffe style, basic Belizean food and very good. Vicki, the owner, and her staff are very friendly and accomodating. Do not expect a luxury resort, but... More

Remote, natural and tranquil. We spent a week there and loved it. It's a long way from anywhere so you won't drive down the road for a meal--but that's fine because the lodge provides delicious and filling "homecooked" meals by the local staff. We had tasty meals every night, hearty breakfasts every morning and were catered to at a luxury... More

We spent a week at Pooks HIll in December 2015. It was such an amazing place--truly a gem of a hotel nestled in relatively intact rainforest. The fauna was incredible. I am not a serious birder, but WOW! Such an incredible opportunity. The howler monkeys spent a night in the tree right outside our hut--for a while we thought they... More
