We stayed three nights. Owners Jon and Clara have built a great place and are fantastic hosts. The setting is deep in the Belize country side, along a beautiful river, with lots of nature and animals. Their parrot and bird collection is much better than...More
Stayed at Banana Bank Lodge for the first two days of our Belize trip. It was hot, way hotter than we expected and despite no AC (we opted not to get an AC room), we did have three fans in the room that kept us...More
We really loved our stay at Banana Bank Lodge, it was like staying in paradise. Room was very basic but the place is so beautiful. Delicious home style cooking. Staff and owners extremely friendly and helpful! John's hospitality is overwhelming. Great place for nature lovers....More
We had the opportunity to stay at the Banana Bank Lodge on the first night of the Ruta Maya canoe race. We stayed in a large room that slept 6 people; 1 double and three single beds. Nice bathroom, good hot water, and fans (no...More
Very interesting Lodge just outside of Belmopan. You need to travel of the main highway about 5 miles down a dirt road. There are lots of rescued birds in large cages that wake up very early in the morning. There is one building within feet...More

I want to bring my 45 yr old daughter for birthday trip of a lifetime. Her kids are grown, she needs me to get her out of Savannah, Georgia. We both grew up owning, LOVING horses. I plan to arrive Tues, Sept 5 and go straight from Airport to your place- don't have arrival time yet. Best way to get there? We'll go to Placencia after leaving BananaBank. We're not afraid of public transportation, would love your advice. Would love to ride 1/2 day, cave tubing (if time permits), stay 1 night at BananaBank...maybe 2..air condition.
Was in Belize first on a cruise, then flew in 2016 - 3 days after hurricane- with friends (not horse folks), stayed on Ambergris Caye- fun!
I researched horse riding from Costa Rica to Bahamas & Caribbean ...BananaBank is where I want to take Michelle!
We love sun, water, horses & fun people!

As a travel agent I booked our horseback riding as a shore excursion. I would call the property directly. I'm sure you can arrange for transportation.
