N E V E R. A G A I N ! Wasn't happy with food at all. Room dated. Diving was good but I would stay elsewhere. Facility was dated and not clean to my satisfaction. Help was friendly and courteous. Nothing to do there for that much money. In my opinion this is a NO GO. Stay in Ambergris.... More

We were met by Martin and Anne Marie already at the Princess Marina and felt at home right away. We had a nice boat trip to the Itza Lodge and enjoyed this beautiful place. The bar and restaurant was a nice place to chill out. Michelle makes wonderful drinks. We were suppose to dive 2 times the first day and... More

This paradise far surpasses any other tropical paradise. Only the sound of waves, wind, birds, and boats can be heard. The most beautiful woodwork and thatched roofs could be seen throughout the eco-friendly resort. Fabulous sunrises and sunsets can be see from both the front and back balconies. Hammocks can be found all around, along with benches and chairs to... More

We travelled from Belize City to Itza Lodge via medium sized boat for ~2.2 hours in the afternoon. It was a hairy ride. All of us (5) were soaked after multiple wave-overs.Martin was an experienced Captain so we felt safe but the trip is for those that are ok with heavy waters and a rough ride. Waterproof your gear. We... More

We visited Itza lodge for a weeklong vacation with family and friends. We soon realized a week was too short and wished that we could stay longer. The lodge itself was a perfect island getaway. It was great to be away from daily traffic and tvs. Our kids loved being able to roam freely I nature. The food was great... More

Went down with the family because i am a diver and i know that all the good dive sites are within a few minutes of Long Caye. Diving was amazing and the family had tons of fun on the beach! My 2 and 3 year olds had a blast. Food was great. Service was amazing. All of the staff were... More

I have mixed feelings about telling you about Itza because I feel like we have discovered a special secret and I don't want every diver (and non-diver) on Earth to flood this spectacular place! When we travel, we always do our best to find beautiful places that are off the beaten path, away from all of the crowded touristy stuff,... More

This is a gem in the midst of a pristine bit of tropical heaven. We booked 3 nights at Itza Lodge to be close to the Blue Hole for an unhurried diving experience. It was more wonderful than imagined. What we found was comfort AND wild beauty. It started with a warm welcome from our host Marcia who promptly sat... More

If you want to dive the Blue Hole, but don't relish a demanding dive after a 2+ hour boat ride (plus a return trip), this is the ideal place to stay. It is also great if other people in your party are not divers. The island itself is sandy, but don't expect broad sandy beaches. The lodging is comfortable, spacious... More
