Maria Vega has a variety of rentals, some in her own house and other freestanding houses nearby. I stayed in a room upstairs in her main building, right by the beach. Her father built the house in the 1950s and is true Old Island Style. I was very comfortable and Maria was a great host. She introduced me to a...

Caye Caulker is beautiful and a great place full of fun and interesting people. I stayed in Vega Inn for a few days and was happy with my choice. If you're looking for luxury, go for the hotels that are easily twice the price of Vega Inn. However, if you just want a private room to stay in that has...

Travelled here for a beautiful wedding in Dec 2010, supported by everyone on the island......except the owner of Vega Inn, who went out of her way to sabotage it, for no apparent (or legal) reason. Neighboring establishments (continually affected by her bizarre, intrusive behavior) have filed numerous, official complaints against her with the Tourism Board as she has regularly been...

She attempted to go out of her way to ruin my friends most special day of their lives...their wedding. I could not believe this lady's actions. In the end we overcame with peace. I would never stay at her Inn. Period.

We had a horrible experience with the owner of this establishment while we were in Caye Caulker. There are so many other lovely and affordable places to stay on the island. I would STRONGLY recommend staying elsewhere!!!!

If you're looking for a 5-Star hotel stay away - but if you're looking for genuine people, wholesome food, sun, sand and plenty of laughter & relaxation then Caye Caulker may be the place. I've been there plenty of times and never been dissappointed. However I was especially pleased with our accomodations this time. It may be rustic by some...

Vega Inn has a guest house near the water taxi doc, and a couple of other places around the island. We rented a house that was up toward the Split from the doc. The house was great, but we didn't get much rest. There are some rental properties behind the house that had 4-5 dogs living off the trash that...

We stayed at the Vega Inn from May 4th-May13th, 2007. Our apartment was actually across from the MAIN Vega Inn. It is set on its own little piece of property, with an upstairs and downstairs. There is a little sitting area and one hammock right outside your door. Then, the MAIN Vega Inn has so much land on the actual...

“Stay away from this hotel.”
  • The looks of the hotel
  • All the bathroom's ventilation is to the inside of the room...
  • This is all the AC you'll get!
  • Light-filled suite
  • A gorgeous sink and mirror, of course worth US$110 per night.
  • The showerhead
  • The bathroom's ceiling. I'm sure that power cable doesn't meet any safety standards!
  • The bathroom of a US$110/night suite!!
