When old hands tell you caye caulker has really changed, that it's not like it used to be--friendly and cheap and laid back---well they need to spend a few nights...or even a season at Lenas. It's right on the water, with deck chairs for the breeze, and a simplicity that reminds you of why you came to Belize in the...

Lena's is a taste of old Caye Caulker. Simple, clean, a ceiling fan, beautiful ocean breezes, and a gorgeous view. If that's all you need- you'll love it here. Nothing fancy- a comfortable bed, room cleaned with fresh towels provided each day. As noted, a pitcher of fresh water every day as well. We were very well cared for by...

This is a great place for the backpacker on the beach. It is cheap for the island, ocean side, clean, close to the action but far enough away. A no thrills room, but suffices. Owner/staff- extremely kind old man. His wife and him clean the rooms. I even left money and electronics out and i never had a problem with...

We stayed two nights and were very happy. Manuel is a great host. The price is fair and the rooms are basic but have everything you need - good fan, strong shower pressure and wonderful sea breeze to keep you cool. Loved the views. We would definitely stay there again.

We stayed 4 nights at Lena's and were really happy with the accomodation. The rooms are cleaned every day and fresh drinking water is provided as well. You also get a cool breeze from the ocean, which is just a few steps away. The rates are fair too.! Aditionally we liked the owner of Lena's - a really polite man!

Manuel and his wife may not be on the Lonely Planet anymore but this guesthouse has the best price for the best view on Caye Caulker. The whole island seemed fully booked until we stumbled on this quiet little place. It may have an old look to the room but it certainly is clean. The shower is the best we...

We spent four nights at this place, the attitude of Manuel the owner could barely be any worse. Besides being quite blunt and unfriendly, after three days we asked to have the sheets changed (the heat and humidity in the room will make you sweat a lot!) and took a while to convince him. Ten minutes after accepting he went...

We stayed for 5 nights at Lena's guesthouse and had a wonderful time. The location is amazing right near the water and the rooms , although older , are clean and comfortable. We received fresh towels every day and the showers were nice and hot with good pressure. The price was definitely right, the owners are lovely.

When we first arrived at Lena's I was slightly dubious because as some other reviewers have mentioned, it looks slightly run down both on the inside and out. I quickly warmed to its rustic Belizean charm though. The beachfront location is probably the best one on the island, the building is so close to the sea, there is nothing to...
