The rooms here are 1 bedroom suites with a mini kitchen. It is well equipped with a regular sized refrigerator, A/C, tv, wifi, microwave, coffee maker, portable electric stove, dishes and utensils. Its a bout a 25 minute walk from the water taxi. A little bit of a walk right next to the airport. It has a pool and you... More

My family of four including a six-year-old and thirteen-year-old stayed in a one-bedroom apartment at the Island Oasis Resort. The property owner Mike Allen greeted us upon our arrived and showed us to our home away from home. It had a small living room with a TV. The attached kitchenette had a full size fridge/freezer and coffee maker. The private... More

If you get a chance to go to Caye Caulker take an extra minute to check out Island Oasis - it's not on the beach, but is really worth staying there! You won't get a better quality place for the money anywhere else - believe me I've stayed all over Belize and it's islands, and this place is the best.... More

We wanted to make sure other people would find out about this hotel in Caye Caulker, Belize because we were so satisfied with our stay. After looking at several other places on the island we chose this one because it offered everything we needed; separate bedroom, complete studio kitchen, nice bathroom/shower, small living room, and it was clean with good... I am a habitual visitor to Caye Caulker and last year I stayed at Island Oasis for the first time. It's location is perfect. It's in a quiet part of the island but only a 3 minute bike ride or 15 minute walk to town. His rates are very competitive with similar accomodations on the island. One thing I learned... More

It was the beginning of a 3 week trip in Belize, and I hale from the very mild Pacific Northwest and I did not have a place booked. I fortunately met Mike and his family on the water taxi. I was a single woman not interested in the party atmosphere of the cheaper places in town and not rich enough... More

I recently stayed at Island Oasis owned by Mike Allen formerly of San Diego for 7 weeks while volunteering on Caye Caulker. Mike prefers to rent to longer term tenants. The people staying at IO are an interesting mix of locals and people from many places. The 8 apartments are about 12 x25 in size. There is a queen bed... More

I've been renting a room here for a year now and just can't say enough about how lucky I was to hit the ball out of the park in choosing to live here. The owner is, without question, the best landlord I have ever had. He is flexible on move-in/move-out dates, incredibly accommodating, and extremely attentive to any needs you... More

Hurricane Richard hit dead center on Caye Caulker while we where there. Many tourists felt very uneasy about their safety - not us. It turns out that the Island Oasis Resort was "over constructed" with extra concrete and reinforced steel. When the storm approached, dozens of locals left their homes and other hotels and tried to book a room at... More

“All rooms face the same direction, and are all equal in quality since there are only 8 rooms, they are all the same. We stayed on the second floor and found it very comfortable. It is located in a very quiet location, so any of the eight rooms would be quiet.”
