Details make the difference. From gourmet teas and coffee (whole bean) to luxurious soaps, lotions and shampoos (L'Occitane En Provence), the Consulate goes above and beyond. Four unique, impeccably decorated (and immaculately clean) suites sit atop The Grady Market. The two large suites in the front share an expansive balcony overlooking the Apalachicola River. We've stayed in both with other...

My fiancé and I stayed at the Consulate Suites last March when we visited Apalachicola to plan our wedding. The accommodations are gorgeous and offer a home away from home. We stayed in the Consul, which has two bedroom and two bathrooms and we couldn't believe how much space there is. The décor looks a bit dated in the online...

I stayed in the Ambassador Suite with my brother and we had a wonderful time. When we first walked in we were amazed at the size of the suite. There was a welcoming basket with goodies and a letter with information on how to contact someone if needed. It had a balcony with a beautiful view of the river! The kitchen...

My husband and I stayed in the Consule suite in early August. This suite has a shared very large balcony directly facing the water. You can see the balcony when you look at the pictures of the building. Although shared, there is plenty of privacy. Our suite was absolutely beautiful. It was extremely clean, and decorated appropriately for the building....

I go to Apalachicola every year and the Consulate Suites were highly recommended. I stayed in the Consul Suite last October and enjoyed it very much. This is a beautiful historic building and has a great location. So a friend and I took a four day vacation from July 23 thru July 26. We had one shower the whole time...

We stayed three days at the Consulate Suites in Apalachicola. The building is excellent renovated and looks like 200 years ago. We stayed in the Attache room, which is suite with a balcony and garden view. The furniture in the living room and in the bedroom are great. However, some limitations have to be mentioned. The bathroom is designed in...

My husband and I stayed in The Port Captain, the smallest of the suites, and were very happy with our experience. The suite is beautiful, comfortable, roomy, and right in the middle of where you want to be. The suite consists of a nice-sized living room, a full kitchen, and a small but comfortable bedroom with a large closet and...

We visit Apalach a few times a year and always try to stay at the Consulate Suites. Every time it has been lovely. This time we stayed at The Consul Suite of theirs; it is spacious two bedroom with balcony overlooking the water side. The kitchen had everything we needed and the wifi was free and consistent. T.Vs in both...

Seeking warm weather and a new place to "call home", Marcia and I decided to visit Apalachacola (we love oysters). Found the Consulate via Google and reserved a suite. Luckiest decision I've made in ages. I booked for one night, but we stayed longer, necessitating different suites. Each suite has everything you could want, including washer/dryer, full kitchen, hand ironed...

We stayed in the Ambassador suite in mid-February 2015, and the "apartment" is absolutely beautiful! Brick walls, restored wood floors, white woodwork, balcony that overlooks the Apalachicola river, fully equipped luxury kitchen, and wonderfully decorated, including a handpainted mural in the bathroom. There is even a "library": an area with floor to ceiling bookcases and comfy chairs. This was such...

“They have 4 different configurations of apartments. The Ambassador was 1650 SF with 2 bedrooms. That one is the largest. Even the smallest at about 900SF would be awesome. It is not like a hotel...it is an apartment in lovely little gem of a town. You would have to check to see if it has an elevator, we used the stairs”
