New Management! Hotel under remodeling. Rancho Inn is a recently-renovated hotel located in the historical coastal town of Apalachicola Joe on Florida's forgotten Gulf Coast, less than 30 minutes from Port St. Joe and, Mexico Beach and 20 minutes form St. George Island. The Rancho Inn sits just 2 miles form Apalachicola downtown with public boat launching facilities, and close to marinas offering fishing charters and waterfront dining. We pride ourselves in cleanliness and good old fashioned friendliness. You will enjoy the home like feel we try to impart to all our guests. We try to make you feel like you are truly guests in our home. We the owners do live here on the premises. When you are talking to us on the phone, in the office or on the property you have a 99% chance that you are speaking to an owner. We care what you think of us and our establishment and want you to enjoy the time you spend in our city. If there is anything we can do to make your trip and your stay more pleasurable, Please don't hesitate to ask.

Older place but was clean and quiet even with many workers staying there. No issues. Beds just OK but I'm not that picky. Service was very good, needed a battery for chirping smoke alarm and was taken car of promptly. If I'm ever out that way again would stay again. Nice little

Beds were atrocious, no hot water and asked for a handicapped room and have no idea what they consider one. The place was basically empty but yet stuck on an end room 20 feet from 98. Really do wish I had something positive to say because we did spend the night there. Nothing

Motel is very clean, bedding is nice and fresh, mattress is comfortable. Not a fancy place at all but good for a quick stay. My only complaint is there aren’t any paper towels or tissues provided. All motels and hotels should provide paper products. We used the coffee pot and

Pet friendly?
I'm really not sure but the town of Apalachicola is very pet friendly. Many people walk all around town with their pets so I assume most hotels and b&B's allow pets. Management at the Rancho Inn are very nice so you could simply call them and ask. Sorry I didn't have a definitive answer but we have never travelled with pets.

How close is it to the beach?
It is not near the beach. You would need to drive there. More of an overnight stay place.

The best answer for this question is "El Jalisco." They have an all American breakfast with great review. They are also very close to the Motel. They are located in Eastpoint, on the left as you get off the bridge. Only 6 miles from the motel. :)
