We stayed one night just to get away and were very satisfied. Staying upstairs affords you a birdseye view of the river and a more private balcony experience. The room comes with tv. No internet access, no hair dryer. The room was sound proof enough that I didn't hear the guests next door. They have renovated the bathrooms and the...

Magic Dreamer, Thanks for your kind review. Dear traveller, come to the river, check the Apalachicola River Inn. Our rooms are all waterfront on the river reasonably priced. Each nights stay includes a full cooked to order breakfast at Caroline's dining on the river. Dine on our waterfront gazebo built on our docks. The gazebo is fully heated with a dura...

My wife and I had the opportunity, to stay here for a Saturday and Sunday night. The rooms are very clean roomy, and offer a million dollar view of the Apalachicola River. Location is excellent, allowing a walking self guided tour of the historic Apalachicola riverfront, and the Oyster bars, Including Boss Oyster, which is part of this property The Inn...

We stopped in Apalachicola on our drive home from New Orleans & we were pleasantly surprised at the warm friendliness of this little town. The staff at this hotel are all so nice & we even chatted up with the guests. We had a waterfront room & watched the most amazing sunrises & sunsets from our balcony. And the breakfast...

Angie C Tampa Florida,. You stumbled on our inn, just as we did 25 years ago. We are glad you did . The view across the Apalachicola River is unspoiled since millenium. From your riverfront room you watched the most amazing sunrise and sunsets. You watched the beginning and the completion of the day You had a Schopenhauer day."Each day is...

This was probably the worst experience I have had in vacation hotel. The first thing I noticed was while walking up the outside stairwell, how rotten the stairs were and one stair, you could see that the board was rotted away and could see the ground. Then we went for dinner at Caroline's and I ordered the steak and when...

Barry w 8, Barrie Canada, I truly believe you were disappointed. In our humble opinion you missed the point. The Apalachicola River Inn is the only waterfront inn on the downtown historic river front in Apalachicola. It is built of pecky cypress board and batten wood harvested from the river bottom for centuries, like all of the riverfront properties in...

My wife and I stayed at the Apalachicola River Inn for the Run for the Bay Marathon. We were excited about spending a relaxing weekend in historic Apalachicola and thought we were signing up for a B&B type experience (which this is clearly not). Upon arriving at the Inn we checked in and entered our room and immediately a strong,...

Sullivand, We look forward each year for the wonderful marathon runners. You stayed 2 days in such horrible conditions. You hated the room???? You looked at the room before staying. You could have left anytime. We would have refunded your money gladly because we had people waiting for a room. You knew that. We would gladly to have called around to find...

We have stayed both upstairs and down. Love sitting out on the porch looking at the water. Breakfast is always wonderful and tops anywhere we have stayed. Already have made my next reservations. The rooms are very nice and we live walking around town enjoying all that it offers.

They call this area Florida's " forgotten coast." Selfishly, I hope it stays forgotten. It is beautiful, but hard to get to and uncrowded. This establishment is in an old building right on the river. Yes, there is a heavy humidity in the area, but the RiverInn simply handled it greatly. The room was clean and comfortable, the view amazing and the calm and peace for a few days was spectacular. A plus... we could keep our little dog with us. Kind people and nice place :)
