We accidentally missed our ferry and had to stay overnight unexpected. Ignacio was the night manager and was very kind and gentle hearted. The stay was pleasant and sweet. The room was very comfortable and cozy. We were very fortunate to have met Ignacio and receive his help. Thank you!

Flawless execution by the staff (check-in, late check-out, etc.); Impeccable views; Perfect location. That sums it up for our first stay, as we look forward to our next stay at Hotel Catalina. Incomparable!

Stayed in the Courtyard Cottages. Beautifully redone and wonderful bath area. Hotels for the most part in Catalina are old. This one has lots of walking from the main check-in to the cottages. We did not know there was a manager for these cottages as well that we could have checked in with. They provide donuts and coffee in the...

A taste of old California....not a bad stay but nothing to shout about....sorry the Jacuzzi was dead....would have been nice. Location is easy to find and we were there during the off season....so it might have been noisy with others around....could not close the window in the bathroom.

Visited this hotel for several days. What a mistake. The WiFI never worked in my room. I contacted one employee who told me that there was no complaints. I talked to another more honest employee who told me :Oh yea, the WiFi does not work in all the rooms and shuts down often". My room stank of mold and seat....

We dropped our bags at the Hotel Catalina, checked in (room wasn't available yet), and went out to enjoy our day on Catalina Island. After an early lunch and two or three hours snorkeling we walked back to the hotel and jumped into the hot tub. Although it wasn't as hot as we hoped it sure felt good. Our third...

We wound up staying at the Hotel Catalina because the hotel we usually stay at while in Catalina was booked for the dates we were planning to visit. We needed to make a very last minute change to our reservation and the hotel was very accommodating. But that was really the last good thing I can write about here. This...

We just spent 3 nights at the Hotel Catalina for the Fourth of July weekend 2014. PROs Hotel is conveniently located directly off of Front Street and you are minutes away from the beach, harbor and all the restaurants on Front Street. Our room was cleaned on a timely basis and fresh towels were provided on a daily basis. Housekeeping...

The Hotel Catalina is a well-run, well-maintained hotel in the heart of Avalon. The original hotel building provides a more quaint classic island experience with smaller rooms and older furnishings and fixtures. The 'Courtyard Annex' building a couple doors down the street provides a more varied selection of more spacious rooms including three upscale suites that have panoramic views of...
