The Cambria Hotel & Suites Anaheim Resort Area is often celebrated for its exceptional service, with many guests highlighting the staff's friendliness and helpfulness. Families particularly enjoy the spacious and clean rooms, although additional storage could enhance the experience. The hotel's atmosphere is deemed welcoming and child-friendly, with modern touches and festive decorations. Its amenities, like the family-friendly pool and diverse breakfast options, along with its proximity to Disneyland, are popular among travelers.
While the location is a hit for Disney visitors, some find it less convenient for convention center events. Guests appreciate the value offered but caution against extra fees for parking and resort use. Cleanliness is a standout feature, with the hotel maintaining high standards across the board.

* Breakfast included with ample food options for any diet. It can be busy, but food is kept well stocked. The staff here works tirelessly to keep tables clean between guests. * Front desk staff was thorough in providing all necessary information relating to the property. A text message was sent twice to check-in during our stay which I thoroughly appreciated. All requests were honoured without any reminders. Well done! * Hotel and lobby was decorated for Christmas. Nice touch! * Clean accommodations with room refreshed daily with attention to detail. We were never in need of anything our whole 3 day stay! * Full size fridge and microwave available, ideal for families. * Full size shower plus a bath/shower combination. Our FAVORITE amenity from all hotels stayed at while in California. * Only a 10 minute walk to the Toy Story shuttle parking lot. Our family felt safe walking back from the parking lot to the hotel past midnight. * Quiet rooms, even next to highway.
Emerging skills:
* Breakfast begins to be packed up 15-10 minutes prior to closing. Being in the Disney parks until midnight each night, it wasn’t functional for my family to be there any sooner than 9:45am (it closes at 10am on the weekends). The workers would get irritated when my family took plates to bring to the room, stating that “they were cleaning it up.” Wouldn’t it be easier if a family would take it, as I esteem it would go to waste otherwise? Additionally less mess for them to clean. * The front desk is not manned 24 hours. There were children playing behind the desk after hours. * The main doors are not locked after front desk staff leave for the evening. This left my husband in a vulnerable state when a homeless person followed him back to the hotel from the nearby gas station. If the desk is left unmanned for the evening hours, the doors should be locked and only accessible via keycard. Luckily the homeless person did not follow him in, but it was an unnerving experience for my husband. * The housekeeping staff knocked on the door at 8:30am on the day of check-out and woke up my husband. I realize this is a high turnover property, but the check-out time is not until 11am. Please respect the families who not have an early departure for flights to remain in the time allotted, especially after being in the parks past midnight. * No utensils or plates for use despite full size kitchenette. The establishment should really look into providing such amenities, as the kitchenette is a major factor for families who book here. * Door dash does not seem to be well-respected at this hotel or surrounding areas, as the front desk staff handed it over to my husband in a snarky tone, “This must be for you” while pinching the bag with his fingers and dropping it on the desk in front of him. Travelling out of country with no vehicle, this was regrettably our only option and we had to be frugal where we could.
Overall, a great property and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Thanks!

We will be checking out tomorrow after a weeklong stay in the king, suite and I can’t say enough great things about this hotel! I did a lot of research for this trip and I was able to find some hotels closer to the park, but the minimal savings weren’t worth it to me when I factored in everything this hotel had to offer
We had a king bed with the triple bunks, separate room for the living room/kitchen with a large fridge and freezer. The bathroom had a standup shower, and then a completely separate tub and shower which came in so handy
The room is clean, the beds are wonderful and my kids loved the breakfast. There’s lots of variety and the Mickey Mouse waffles were a huge hit.
Pool, water park, water slides, the yard games, the movie in the pool and fire pits were so fun to hang out at when we had downtime
The staff have all been very friendly and accommodating. Catalina at the front desk, took time to help me out with a transportation app. They say that housekeeping only comes every fourth day, but ours came more frequently, and so checked in with us via text message every day to see if we needed anything.
Hotel is very secure and felt safe. I also loved having on-site laundry.(credit card operated) we asked for a park view room and had an amazing view of the fireworks.
I think my favourite touch is the birthday surprise for my son!! They gave him some balloons, candy and a Mickey Mouse stuffy!
We walked to the toy story parking lot to go to the parks and it’s only about five minutes away. Lots of restaurants close by. We also took an Uber back mid day for a break and it’s about $10 one-way.
Some things to note (not complaints just to keep in mind)
You can only eat your takeout poolside if it comes from the hotel, or from one of the restaurants in the parking lot
They only have about three lifejackets for guest use and it’s it or miss if you can get one so if it’s 100% needed bring your own
The rooms with the kitchens do not come with any cutlery plates, etc. so keep it in mind when you do your grocery order

Our family just returned from a wonderful five night stay at the Cambria. The resort was great and we will definitely be back. The breakfast was really good and had something for everyone, including healthy options. All the amenities made our hotel stay so much more fun. We used the fitness center, watched movies from the hot tub, loved the waterslides and pool area. Every employee we encountered was very nice and professional. The three things I wish I’d known ahead of time is there is almost no storage in the room (no drawers and only a tiny armoire), second the sofa bed is pretty much unusable because the mattress was so thin and bowed, the third is that although there’s a kitchenette bit no dishes or utensils. We ordered paper plates, silverware and paper towels for our room, but initially assumed there would be some there. The restaurants in the parking lot were all really good and the 7-11 across the street was very convenient. Overall we really enjoyed the trip.

Edith, who we always see working when we go to enjoy the great Cambria Hotel breakfast, significantly elevates the experience with her kindness, attitude, helpfulness and personality. I've said it before, if she is not training all the other customer facing employees, she should be. The whole experience would drop a notch, a big notch, without her. I assure you, we did not know her before our Disney trip two years ago.
We like the hotel with the slides, pool, etc. I probably went down the slide 20 times with our granddaughter and other grandchildren. The stairs and end of slides could use cleaning more often, as dirt had accumulated in both areas, but we still had fun.
The one big disappointment was booking. Sixteen of our family members were there all week, but we did not book until five or six days in advance and Cambria's site said they were all sold out. So, we looked for alternatives nearby and stumbled across a room available at the Cambria through Expedia. It said they had the last room available for over $1600 for three nights, not counting parking, resort fees and associated taxes and fees.
Everything was good or excellent accept the fact we were tricked by Expedia into purchasing a room that cost us over $1700 for three nights by being told it was the last and only available room. Because we had 16 other family members staying at the hotel, we paid the very high price. Then, immediately after we booked it, a room for over $250 per night less suddenly appeared on the same Expedia website. We felt deceived and called Expedia, but neither Expedia nor Cambria would let us change the reservation, although it was still five days in advance, justifying their deception by claiming it was a "non-refundable" ticket. We would have accepted that were it not for the deception of telling us it was the only room left. Even the lesser price would have been much more per night ($319 I believe) than we paid the last time we stayed there, but at least we would not have been deceived. To top it off, we did not even receive our Choice Hotel points because it was booked through Expedia. After multiple calls with Expedia and the hotel, asking them to change the reservation to the lesser priced, but still expensive room, Expedia told us they would be happy to change it if the hotel would approve it. The hotel said they could not change it because it was booked through Expedia, so we spent the extra $750. We will not book through Expedia again.
At least we got to see Edith and be in the same hotel with the rest of the family. :)

WOW! To say I’m impressed is an understatement. My children have food allergies, so travelling and navigating what they can and can’t eat is STRESSFUL. The first morning we ate at the breakfast buffet Catalina was an absolute rockstar! She was very knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and confident with the food. She had fresh gluten and soy free waffles made, had prepackaged gluten/ soy free muffins and bagels, had gluten free cheerios and had organic oat milk for them! She even checked on us to make sure the kids were enjoying their breakfast!
The second morning was no different, Catalina recognized us and offered to make us gluten free waffles again! She also let me know which sausages and bacon were safe for my kids and gave them a muffin to enjoy while they were waiting.
The third morning, a wonderful woman named Edith was working. She was exceptional as well! One of the sausages didn’t have allergy information in the ingredient book so she searched the kitchen freezer for the box, and when she couldn’t find it there, she immediately got in contact with someone who would know. Within 5 minutes we had the ingredients!
I’m so happy with the experience we had at Cambria. All the staff were amazing, but Catalina and Edith should teach classes on how to be compassionate and helpful to guests with complicated diets.
Thank you so much to those two women! You have no idea how much we appreciate you!

This hotel really made our vacation. We are a family of 5 and we couldn't have been happier! The staff were all very nice. The breakfast staff, cleaning staff, security, and especially the front desk were all so very kind and helpful. Better than any hotel we have ever stayed at.
The location is perfect. Many small restaurants right outside the front door and family sit down restaurants within very short walking distance. ART shuttle right outside the door for 5 to 10 minute ride to Disneyland, or you could easily walk I'm estimating on the high side 20 to 30 minutes with young children. If your looking for groceries on a budget Aldi food market is a lifesaver!
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. The pool/waterslide/jacuzzi was so much fun! Staff are extremely helpful and accommodating. Really enjoyed talking with pool security, and all the staff!

It was very nice. Comfortable beds. Had a bathtub/shower, plus another shower also. Breakfast was a nice bonus with mickey mouse pancakes. The ART Shuttle was right out front. Also several good restaurants in their parking lot. Starbucks/Hawaiin BBQ/Fish Grill/Habit Hamburgers & Jersey Mike Sandwiches. They charged additional $30.00 day parking. Security was good. You couldn't even get on your floor or to parking garage without your key in elevator. They had a bar, slides, pool, and movies for the kids. A small market where we were able to buy ponchos for $10.00 each when it rained. Bottled water was $5.00 each. In the breakfast area was a water dispenser to fill up your own bottles. They also had a nice area with tables you could bring food in and gather in the evening near the lobby. This was convenient for our group with the bad weather. We were told they had family suites with bunk beds. Also we requested a high floor that faced Disney & we were able to see the fireworks from our room. Nice bonus. They offered a light cleaning & new towels the 3rd day, and bed linens changed after the 7th. I would stay there again. Disney was crowded even with the horrible weather. Unbelievable.

Amazing hotel!! Super clean and comfortable. Well maintained. The breakfast has tones of options and never ran out of food. The staff are super friendly. Shout out to Mukesh Patel at the front desk, super friendly and helpful. The only downfall of the hotel is the extra fees such as the $20 resort fee and $32 a night parking fee. This is a definite must if you are heading to Disney with your family. Just take into account the extra 50 in fees. Super safe and the location is just minutes from Disney it is surrounded by many restaurants that are sure to please everyone in your family.

I took my daughter for a short trip across the country to Disneyland and to California Adventure. This location is set in a great area with other amenities including Starbucks and several small chain places such as Starbucks and California Fish Grill.
I will start off by sharing the pros: Location, small water park which we sadly didn’t have time to do. Walkable (20 min) to Disneyland. And security protects the area from the homeless around the area.
The cons: Buffett in the morning was heavily crowded (around 8am). The food was very bland and mediocre at best) the rooms I wish didn’t have the wall mounted a/c like a 80-90s A/C. And there’s a lot of homeless if you walk to and from Disney. Use Lyft or Uber or the bus (fee applied)
Overall, it was a great experience. Will I return possibly but I did overall have a great time.

This is a great hotel for families coming to Disneyland. We appreciate the room service and daily provision of towels which many hotels have stopped doing. Asking for maintenance and supplies has been a positive experience so far. We were greeted by Mukesh Patel who helped check us in and this was a great impression of the hotel for us, to have someone with such great customer service. We recommend the hotel update its policy for wristbands as when we requested a new one from another staff member they were not customer service focused and dismissive. Overall, a quiet room and very pleased with our accomodation.
