Absolutely a great location. It is walking distance to a shopping center (outdoor mall with Starbucks, Old Navy, Walgreens, Trader Joes; actually a great selection of shops) and the water. Plus the room is large. It felt like it used to be an apartment complex built in the 70's,

The 2 Ladies at front desk, night ( Sujata Gurung ) at check in was very nice and kind.
Also Rose during the day was very helpful with points of interest and transportations. Good size room with the necessary amenities, breakfast was okay to start the day.

Dirty, smelly, run-down hotel. Draperies, which were falling apart, do not block huge security lights in parking lot - which our room overlooked. Phone and a/c not working properly, "maintenance" man unable to fix either. No plug-ins to charge phones and/or computers. No stands f

Great location but nasty and dirty. The carpet looked like something out of a murder scene stains everywhere. Nothing was clean dusty and sticky counter tops . The owner and management should be embarrassed of this hotel. If you ever stay here bring your own sheets and slippers

if im not happy with my room, can i get a refund?
Hi I wanted to know what the refund policies is
hi we are hoping to stay in September, coming from UK. Is it easy to drive to San francisco with our car or can we get local transport from the hotel> Would we have to pay tolls every time we go to San Francisco? Is it easy to park our car in SF if we go every day? We are only staying for 4 Nights. thank you. Janet
If you plan to spend your days in San Francisco, I recommend you stay in a hotel in the City. The Mayflower Hotel is a good one for a price comparable to the Coral Reef Inn but far more convenient, and much nicer. It's only worthwhile to stay in Alameda if you are planning to spend most of your time in Alameda or Oakland. The drive from Alameda into San Francisci is challenging on busy difficult highways. There are many good motels, hotels and inns in San Francisco, and there are busses and tram lines to get you around the city. Public transportation from Alameda into San Francisco exists ( the Bart) but it's not close to the Coral Reef Inn.
