I booked a trip this past weekend to Alabama to tour 4 National Park Service units I have never been to (Horseshoe Bend, the two down in Tuskegee, and the Selma to Montgomery trail). Pretty much everything with-in 150 miles was booked or $250-$299 due to races at Taladega and homecomings/football games at Auburn and Tuskegee. The perfect storm. I... More

There are really no choices to stay in the Clay County area except the Country Inn Motel. But this is ok. This is an old style highway motel straight out of the 60's. No hair dryer, shampoo stuff, etc. So if planning a visit there, pack your stuff. Steve and Linda are really nice people and what the place may... More

This motel is very small but very nice and friendly owner . The rooms are very clean and they assist u in any way they can.. The beds are very comfortable (In our room anyway) We go there every year as we minister in the area..

Hmmm...where to start... This is probably the smallest motel I have ever stayed at. They only have 6 rooms in the whole thing. The owner (Scott) is very nice and will immediately have you on a first name basis. We paid $60.00 even (including tax) and that was probably about right. The rooms are very small but it is clean...
