It's a modern hotel, clean, well located, wifi works very well, the pillows very soft for my taste and the room that touched us, floor 9 (overlooks an apple lung) had no view and you could hear the incessant noise of an engine I suppose from the building opposite. The breakfast is poor for the price they charge (32 u$s!!!!) and the reception service is at most good. One of the days of our stay they forgot to clean our room and make the beds ...that say ...for the price you pay the attention should be much higher.

Location: Le Méridien Washington, D.C., The Madison is a gem in the heart of D.C. The location is fantastic—just a few blocks from the White House and easily accessible via the Metro, including a direct route to the airport.
Parking: While the hotel offers valet parking, I used Uber, which made pick-ups and drop-offs seamless.
Check-In: Check-in was an exceptional experience thanks to the incredible front desk staff. A special shoutout to Kenny, who went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed. He thoroughly explained the hotel amenities and made my day by announcing I was the Elite Guest of the Day, which came with a $50 food and beverage credit—a lovely touch!
Room: The rooms have been beautifully refreshed as part of the hotel’s recent $15 million remodel. My room was spotless, quiet, and featured a great city view. The housekeeping staff deserves a huge thank you for promptly assisting with a few items to make my stay feel like home. I loved the bath products, slippers, and fluffy pillows.
That said, while parts of the bathroom have been updated, a full remodel with a walk-in shower instead of a tub would elevate the experience further. Another minor downside is the inability to stream content or access favorite shows on the TVs, which would be a nice addition. The minibar was well-stocked with snacks and drinks for purchase.
Amenities: The recently renovated gym was excellent and provided a solid workout. While there’s no pool, I had access to the club lounge on the lobby level thanks to my status. The lounge offers breakfast and evening snacks, and though I didn’t have the chance to use it, it looked like a great space to work or relax.
Food & Beverage: I didn’t dine at the restaurant but did enjoy drinks at the bar. The bartender was friendly and attentive, and the drink selection was fantastic. The on-site market is convenient for grab-and-go options, though my to-go Caesar salad seemed to have been sitting in the fridge too long and wasn’t as fresh as I’d hoped.
Stay Again: I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel for both business and leisure trips. The phenomenal staff, excellent facilities, and prime location make Le Méridien Washington, D.C., The Madison a home away from home. I look forward to returning to this charming hotel!

There are so many great things about this hotel. The decor in the lobby is stunning. It’s modern and upscale, yet has a classic hotel feel. We had a one bedroom suite for our family of three. The room decor was also a combination of classic and modern decor. The room was clean and there was plenty of room for us to spread out. There was a huge desk in the bedroom and a large table in the living area where we were able to play a couple of card games. The bed was comfortable, but the sofa bed was just OK. An area for improvement for the room would be to have an actual mini refrigerator rather than the minbar version. We had the park and eat package which included free breakfast and valet parking. The breakfast buffet offered a decent selection of hot & cold buffet items. We also found d out that you could use the voucher instead to get items such as specialty coffee drinks, parfaits, breakfast sandwiches or danishes. All of the staff that we encountered provided excellent service. With three in our party, we were short a washcloth a couple of times. A quick call to the front desk resulted in the washcloths being brought up quickly. I have been at hotels where such requests take forever or are forgotten, so the prompt service was appreciated. Brandon at check-in was welcoming and efficient. I also really appreciated all of the front desk staff, such as Samira who accommodated a special breakfast request and Olivia, whose effervescent smile made us feel like we were being welcomed home. I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge, Juan, the doorman, who welcomed us back and offered us water bottles whenever we returned to the hotel. We will definitely stay at the Madison for future DC stays.

So many things. Housekeeping came into my room while I was there unannounced and without knocking. There was no water provided upon check in and or anytime during my stay, even as a Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite. I was even mistakenly charged for a bottle in the mini fridge that I never took. They don’t disclose extra surcharges for ordering room service and automatically charge both gratuity and “delivery fee” for bringing something upstairs from the kitchen (in this case, for a prepackaged yogurt and coffee). I left something in my room and didn’t realize until after checking out, and still haven’t gotten a call back from the hotel about it despite calling repeatedly the last several days. At face value, it’s a nice hotel and staff are friendly but I’ve had better service and thoughtfulness from motels.

This hotel has a gorgeous lobby but its service and rooms are not the high quality Marriott standards we would expect at a 4-star hotel. Check in was very business-like, not as warm as other properties. Room was refreshed partially but it still seemed dusty and not fully updated. Old style tub and bathroom showed its age. Air conditioning was performing poorly. Maintenance came right away and fixed it by removing and replacing a filthy filter. When we checked in, there was no body wash. No problem, except I was already in the shower and had to step out to call front desk. It took two calls and 20 minutes, delaying my bedtime. Initially they dropped off one tiny body wash instead of just refilling the large bottle hanging in the shower. I flagged the staff down and they were more generous. While minor inconveniences, these are easy things Marriott should be on top of. We would not stay at this property again.

In 11/6 when I arrived at the Madison Hotel In DC Juan, the bellman was the friendliest person with a big smile and was just happy to do his work. Juan made sure to get me water without me ansking and while the receptionists were busy with other guests he made sure to mingle and offer assistance to those who were like me waiting to be helped.
The room that was first assigned to seemed clean and housecleaning had attended to it, however, I did not feel comfortable staying in that room because when I arrived to the room I found the door was left open and could not tell if unwanted/ unauthorized people had wondered into the room. unfortunately I did not feel safe staying in it. Lana the receptionist insisted on moving me to another room and she wanted to make sure I have no worries what so ever staying there. Lana was very attentive and showed empathy which I valued. Between Juan and Lana my level of satisfaction with the hotel went up even more than what I had expected. Thank you Lana and thank you Juan.

Overall, a terribly disappointing experience for a supposed 4 start hotel. Lots of misses - it would be better regarded as a fair 3-star hotel. Lets start at the front door and work up to the room: for a modern hotel, it has incredibly awkward entrance doors (manual!) and the staff at the front door are apparently for decoration - they don't even open it. The elevator card-key readers are flaky - if you aren't quick, you will miss your floor. Once in the room, its apparently intended for quick overnight stays - even in the upgraded king rooms there are only 2 very small drawers for storage. There is only 1 nightstand, with a door that opens the wrong way instead of a drawer. There is a total joke of an ice-bucket - it’s a flimsy plastic thing, not insulated, and with no cover. Oh, let me mention ice is only available on floors 6 and 12. There is no coffee/tea in the room. There is no fridge - and if you want one, its $25 - and the one they deliver isn't even pre-chilled. As for service requests, they managed to get my extra towels – but no extra blanket. Want Netflix (pretty much a standard at most decent hotels these day? Not here… you get a very limited selection of on demand movies – which rent for $19!). And the live TV is nearly unwatchable. They have 55” UHD screens, but they are highly pixelated – so, clearly they subscribe to a substandard delivery service. In 2024?? There is no desk, really, so it’s not suitable as a business hotel, especially as it has a glass top (so, most mice won’t work). And the "desk chair" is a fixed-height item that is more of a stool with a low back. There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom – but that is not the worst issue. The shower design allows leaks into the main room, no matter how careful you are…. And this creates a trip/slip/fall hazard on the fake wood that is the entry part of the main room. If it’s the only available hotel, I'd recommend it. Otherwise, find a 3-star hotel at half the price and with better amenities. And watch your footing after a shower.

The Madison Hotel team went above & beyond for our group. Amine in sales was wonderful to work with and set us up for success.
Isabel, our event services manager, Hamid and Jose in Banquets, expertly managed our event needs including Isabel saving the day delivering signage to our remote dinner location when it was left at the hotel. The service was impeccable and to food was delicious.
Our group check-in went extremely well. The Front desk and reservations team including Ciara, Tsehaye and Sylvia were on top of room availability and managed our group block in partnership with housekeeping who worked so hard to turn the rooms over ASAP.
And Juan who was so helpful with baggage snd package logistics and juggling great service to all the guests.
And thank you to the many other team members behind the scenes who made our stay at The Madison so enjoyable and productive.
We look forward to coming back next year!

This hotel may lure you in with a beautiful lobby and good location but in reality the rooms are dark, dirty and poorly insulated and the service is terrible. Bathroom wallpaper had toothpaste stains on it, there was hair on the shower walls, ceiling stains in the bedroom, lamp shades and bedroom wall paper were covered in thick dust. The windows have not been cleaned in years. The window and wall insulation is so bad you will hear neighboring room conversations and toilet flushes and even the conversations happening outside of the hotel entrance! The $25 breakfast offers plastic forks that break easily. But the worst of all was the service. We spent multiple nights here and felt that the staff was purposefully ignoring guests, not even greeting you upon entry and maintaining no eye contact when passing. Shockingly low standard for a Marriott network. Never again. The only plus side was the nice decor in the lobby and comfortable beds.

This is a boutique hotel with a lot of potential but sadly missed the mark for us. We arrived from the airport and checked into our room only to find that the flush was broken and there was no soap or body wash. We washed our hands with shampoo and left hoping that when we came back, things would be better - and yes it was. The toilet was repaired and we had soap - but no body wash!!! However, during our 4 night stay we had to constantly ask for supplies. On the second day I left a note for housekeeping and we finally had shower gel. Each day, we had to remember to pick up water from downstairs. Juan was fantastic though, he was always so welcoming and reminded us to take water up with us. But why did we have to do this? I expected it to be replenished by housekeeping. The first night we had some very rowdy neighbors and security did come and ask them to quieten down. They did not, but fortunately they were not there for the rest of our stay. However, the walls are quite thin and it's easy to hear other guests, showers and TV's going. So if you are a light sleeper this may be an issue. The bed was very comfortable and overall the hotel was clean including the gym. We found the location very convenient and we could walk to all the sights and there were plenty of really good restaurants within easy reach. Note that there is no coffee/tea maker in the room. However there is a cafe downstairs.
