The hotel is what you expect from a top DC place. Elegant, European-style, high standard. Very good service. The place’s look-and-feel is what you’d expect from a DC power spot. Highly recommended for the business and political traveler.

The Jefferson, in my opinion, is the best kind of top-notch hotel. It's elegant without being over the top, it's luxurious without being wasteful and flashy and its staff are warm and welcoming without being intrusive. From the sincerely welcoming greeting at reception to the perfectly proportioned and appointed room, The Jefferson did not disappoint. It felt more like a...

The Jefferson's rooms and common areas are extraordinarily well appointed and the Quill bar is a pleasant option for a delicious, convenient dinner or drinks. However I was disappointed in the hotel's service and attention to detail. Two requests for a newspaper were forgotten. Similarly, I had to ask twice for an ironing board. I ordered room service for breakfast...

Stayed here 2 nights for my husbands birthday weekend. Have to say one of the nicest hotels I ever been to. Attention to every detail. Room very clean. Extremely comfortable king bed. They have everything you can ask for including oversized comfortable robe, slippers and nice grooming products to make your stay even more enjoyable. Fast and delicious room service....

Top notch property. Great staff ,is in a very good location. Super service throughout. Restaurants and bar are very nice. Very pricey, but worth it. Knowing I would be attending a convention in DC in Nov. 2015, I booked this historic hotel online almost a year ago after reading about it here on TripAdvisor--it's rated #1. To be frank, I also booked the Hay-Adams (also historic), the Mandarin Oriental (like the brand), and later via my convention housing bureau, the historic Morrison-Clark and the historic...

Stopped on Thanksgiving trip to GA to see various monuments, the Capitol, etc. Everything about hotel was perfect. Accepted our 20 lb rescue pup without question. First room a little tight but front desk upgraded very quickly. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Hotel well located. Overall great 3 days in DC.

For our first visit to DC, we wanted a hotel that would remind us that we were in the country's capital. This being a republic, we can't say they gave us the "royal" treatment, but they certainly gave us a service worth of a president. The hotel is beautiful, quiet, well located, and the rooms have everything you need. There...

We stayed at the Jefferson in November 2015 for 4 nights. The hotel is small, about 90 rooms and has been recently refurbished. Our room was a very roomy suite, but be careful when you book because not all the rooms or suites have bathtubs. That is an issue for us, we like to have a bathtub, and like a...
