Once again, a delightful stay at the Madera. This is quickly becoming my "go to" hotel in the District. Michelle at the front desk is always welcoming when I'm barely awake and searching for a cup of coffee at 5:45am. The front desk staff is equally terrific on my return in the evening. The new General Manager is also responsive... More

Madera’s highlight is its staff - Ahmed on the desk and Brendan in the bar - lovely people. We had a problem on our first night and needed to change rooms. Ahmed made it easy and gave us some money back for the disruption. I think the hotel could be cleaner, for some reason the restaurant (Firefly) smells of animals... More

Wonderful one-night stay the Kimpton Madera. Excellent location right off of DuPont Circle. We had our two small dogs with us and the hotel staff was exceptionally nice in letting them be part of our stay. The staff person at the check in desk told us that Kimpton prides itself on being a dog-friendly brand and even offered us doggy... More

We planned a 7 night stay in DC and had rented a home outside of DuPont Circle. The condition of the home was so unbearable we were forced to leave immediately. A very quick search brought us to Hotel Madera. Could not have picked a better hotel or location. Boutique atmosphere, clean, well-appointed and comfortable. But what really stands out... More

No matter how hard I try, I can't find anything negative to say about the Madera. The staff could not be more friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious, attractive and has plenty of storage space. It was quiet and very comfortable. The location is a short cab/Uber ride from DCA and all the sights in the city. It's not... More

cute boutique hotel in DuPont circle. Happy hour (wine) offered in the lobby. Nice working space in the lobby too, if you don't mind the noise. Well appointed rooms as you'd expect from the Kimpton family of hotels. And in a nice tree-lined street.

Great hotel in DC. We really enjoyed the location, as it was very walkable to restaurants and Dupont Circle. We really enjoyed having the balcony so we could look out on the street. The staff was very helpful and friendly. This was our first time in a Kimpton hotel and we will definitely return.
