This hotel is most likely not for you, unless you are okay with crippling maintenance problems, hallways that smell like restrooms and staff who lack basic customer service. The management asked us to move rooms TWICE during our stay. The first time was because the air conditioning unit leaked onto the carpet and was causing a damp cesspool of rot....

This is one of the most comfortable and welcoming hotels I've ever been in. Right from the reception you're greeted so pleasantly, you get to your room, pure delight. It was a studio room with twin beds, a dressing room linked to the bathroom and a kitchenette with microwave, table top, fridge, plates and cutleries and a small dining area....

I was in Washington DC for a meeting at the Pan Amercian Health Organization building. This hotel was just across the street. It was very convenient to the National Mall and quite a few inexpensive restaurants. The price seemed reasonable for Washington DC. The room was wonderful although they had turned off the AC to during the hot days is...

I stayed here for 2 nights and was not impressed. They had turned the heat on and it happened to be a very warm day so my room temperature was unbearable. They sent up a fan and opened the windows 3 inches so all I heard was compressors from the building next door running all night. The place is load...

This hotel was convenient to restaurants and tourist sites. We walked to most places we wanted to visit. The rooms were newly renovated and spacious. They had a little kitchenette with a full size refrigerator.

Washington DC is expensive and State plaza is mid range if you want to be close to the city center. The room was ok and allthough I had inflight to the airport outside my window the hugh bed kept me sleeping well. I did not try the breakfast, the breakfast room had a strange smell to it as I went...

I came to D.C. to see the new Smithsonian Museum and wanted to stay as close as possible to the National Mall. This hotel is in a convenient location, and is clean and quiet. First of all the location was perfect, since I was attending a conference at the PAHO; but then the hotel certainly surprised me with one of the most comfy beds I've ever slept in. The staff was pretty helpful too and breakfast was delicious. I would just modernize the elevators as they take a loooooong time.

Although the outside of the hotel looks old, the rooms are beautiful with great bathroom and comfy king bed Situated in a quiet area around the university, it's only a few blocks away from the White House, the mall and a short ride to Georgetown. Great service, all you need I'd stay again!

The hotel staff was very accommodating and polite. It was conveniently located as I had business in the State Dept and it is a quick 10-15 min ride from the airport. The suite was quite nice and I would recommend if I were there for business or sightseeing.
