I'm a business traveler who is on the road most of the time. I look for hotels that are quiet, comfortable, have stand-up showers and cold a/c. How I rate: * - I left the hotel and went elsewhere ** - I stayed, but wouldn't return *** - Would return if I had to **** - Enjoyed the stay *****... More

Positives: 1. Maintenance - 5 stars. Extremely polite and accommodating. Fixed a lamp and a faucet that did not flow properly. 2. Great location - 2 blocks away is one of the hottest restaurants in DC, Daniel Boulud's DBGB and a short walk to great museums and the White House 3. Room decor - interesting photos from American history, which... More

Booked through priceline via blind bid and happy with the results. Staff was friendly, room clean. Beds aren't tucked so if you are a wild sleeper, good luck. Installation isn't the best. I litterly heard someone zip their bag and you hear hall traffic. The best thing is there's a parking lot across from the hotel and that was 15.00.

Stayed at the Renaissance Hotel in Washington DC for a conference in March 2015 with my wife. Great location! We had a room on the concierge floor which was quite large, clean and comfortable. It had a flat screen TV, robes in the closet, and a nice size bathroom and shower. Its within walking distance to the Washinton DC convention... More

I've stayed in most of the good hotels in downtown DC and on the Hill over the past 25 years. The Renaissance downtown was very good with superb service and a decent location. I noticed the air was EXTREMELY dry in our room and each morning I felt dehydrated, and my sinuses were so dry, they actually hurt a little.... More

This Marriott hotel is a welcome and civilized facility. The rooms have a lot of nice touches which you can tailor with your online booking if you are a rewards member. I was able to request a room near the elevator, feather down pillows and two beds vs king. Everything was sparkling clean, the service was very efficient and friendly... More

I just attended the international association culinary professionals conference and stayed at this Marriott hotel. It met my expectations of cleanness, convenience, good food, polite staff, well appointed rooms and a bartender that made a killer Cosmo. There was plenty of space and it is a great facility for a conference. Try the crab cake in the President's Sports Bar.... More

Stayed at this hotel for a conference for a few nights. The hotel had everything you need for guests attending a conference or convention: restaurants with good food, many, many seating areas in the lobby for informal meetings or catching up with emails, a full-size gym with a spa, dry sauna, and steam sauna, and the great location when you... Although, I feel most comfortable with any Marriott affiliate, I wasn't sure what to expect. Well, let me say I was very satisfied with the hotel and location. Service was good; however, concierge lacks the initiative I find in most major chains. I noticed during my entire stay that some employees seemingly are not aware they are employed to assist...
