Boutique style hotel. Rooms were small but clean and cutely decorated. Great location, walking distance to bars and restaurants of Adams Morgan district. Wine and cheese happy hour. Reasonably priced European style breakfast buffet.

I was impressed with the quality of this small older hotel. The room was small but up to date with power access wi fi newly refurbed bathroom shower only.. Bed was a queen and very confortable The nicest part was we were staying 0.1 of a mile from the Washington Hilton were all our meetings were for $.121.00 a night...

We love this hotel and have stayed here several times. The staff is so nice and friendly, and we love that they serve free wine and cheese at 5:00. The hotel is older, so the rooms are smaller and not uniform, but they are updated and clean, as are the bathrooms. The only negative we've experienced is the high heat...

My husband and 12-year-old daughter visited D.C. for a long weekend and wanted an inexpensive hotel with some charm, and in a pretty neighborhood off the tourist-beaten path. We found it in the Normandy! It's located between Dupont Circle and Kalorama, in a wonderful neighborhood chock-full of restaurants, shops, historic town homes and grand embassies. 10-minute walk to the Dupont...

The staff were very helpful with our small children. They were also very friendly. Enjoy an evening walk, the surrounding area was beautiful and we felt very safe. We would highly recommend the Normandy for family stays in the DC area.

I truly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I have stayed in several hotels in the city throughout the years, and this hotel was one of the best in terms of being located in a great location and for a great value (I booked through Hotwire). I arrived early in the morning and the staff got me into my room...

I stayed three nights and I am overall satisfied with this hotel. But I would like to mention a few things for the improvement. First, as for the breakfast, I was told that kids had free breakfast when I checked in. But my daughter charged on her breakfast. Second, it seemed that there were coffee, tea, water and cookies services...

Dear yunyun22, Thank you very much for your review. I am thrilled to read that you enjoyed your stay with us. I am sorry to read that you were not able to enjoy the coffee and tea service along with the cookies. We do make the cookies fresh each day, and we have them out until they are gone, but...

The positives: Comfortable beds; nice linens & towels. Location just a short (mostly uphill) walk from DuPont circle metro. Gorgeous neighborhood. Helpful staff. Wine & Cheese hour. The negatives: Very small rooms; no drawers to unpack; only an espresso machine, no regular coffee maker; water pressure poor in large beautiful shower. No bellman (which is probably not viable). Rooms need...

Heartfelt and deeply emotional Museum , A must see for all historian buffs, so much information that I did not know about Normandy. I definitely would visit this museum again just to put it all back into perspective after learning so much about Normandy

This hotel is fine, albeit a bit shabby. The customer service is excellent and it is in easy walking distance to some nice DC neighborhoods. The rooms are badly in need of updating. My room had furniture that showed a lot of wear and tear, water stained wall paper, etc. Also, DO NOT pay 12 dollars for the continental breakfast....
