Room sizes vary in our group. Some very small, some very large, some in between. Very basic accomodation but very clean & convenient location. Walking distance to White House and museums. Serviced daily.

This is the oldest continuously operating hotel in DC, dating back to about 1910. It is a solid, clean, non-nonsense place to stay and for us it worked great. The location is just 3 blocks off the Mall so we could walk almost everywhere. The restaurant off the lobby is a joke; (we ordered bagels one morning and each one...

The only thing this hotel has going for it is that it is in walking distance to many of the monuments and the White House. This hotel is in need of a good renovation. The beds are small and hard. The room was hot, the water kept turning hotter while I was taking a shower. The room had not coffee...

The Harrington is a classic downtown hotel that has not been refurbished. Its best features are price (low for expensive Washington) and location, only a block off Pennsylvania Avenue and very close to the Smithsonian museums on the Mall. It is also within easy walking distance of the Metro Center subway stop. But, of course, you get what you pay...

This is a very basic hotel with not much in amenities or customer service. It's from the old-style--think pre-1950s basic hotels. It's a motel in the middle of the city. The good: the location is great (just a block from the National Mall, from a major Metro stop, from a movie theater, from great restaurants and bars). There's also a...

This property calls itself a “hotel” when it’s actually more like a roadside dive motel. We were disgusted on so many fronts right from the very beginning. They boast that they’ve been around for over 100 years, well it shows! The smell of boiled cabbage is the first thing that hits you upon entering the lobby. The unfriendly faces of...

This hotel hasn't been renovated since Washington stayed there. The elevator is so small it's a wonder how two people can get in there and if you have a lot of luggage, then there is only room for one. Stepping out, the hallway reminds you of something straight out of the movie, The Shining. I kept wondering when Jack Nicholson...

A true "2-Star" hotel. VERY basic accommodations in a rather dated building. Thin walls, thin mattress, old everything. But right in the heart of central D.C. Plenty of restaurants within a block that will equal the price of your room, but cheaper ones, too. Points for friendly staff, but don't expect much else.

The hotel is in an amazing location. It is easy to walk to anywhere in D.C. from this hotel. Our room was 510 and had amazing water pressure in the shower. The room had a queen and twin bed, a small refrigerator, a decent sized bathroom, and a small closet. There was also a ceiling fan which was helpful since...
