We decided to splurge for New Years Eve and booked a room, dinner and breakfast at the Four Seasons. We were so fortunate to have gotten connected with Concierge Karen Rosington. She helped us arrange everything and although she was out of the country (our favorite Australia) during our stay, everything worked exactly as planned. We were touched by the kindness of everyone with whom we came in contact at the hotel. Our accommodations were upgraded to a great room on the sixth floor. We understand the hotel will be undergoing extensive renovations and we have a couple of recommendations concerning the room. First, there is inadequate drawer storage (even for an overnight stay!). The pull-out trays on the night tables are a waste; change them to drawers. Include a traditional alarm clock. It was difficult to close the draperies, since they were positioned closely behind the sofa, making it necessary to climb on the sofa to reach the draperies' control rods. Please place an electric outlet close to the TV (for a FireTVstick, etc.); I had to order an extension cord. Please have a drawer for each sink in the bathroom.
Bourbon Steak: My wife had an endive salad and I had the lobster consume for our first course, we pre-selected the lobster pot pie as our second course and we both had the (yum) chocolate terrine for dessert. Everything was delicious.
Seasons: We both had a wonderful wake-up breakfast. I only wish they had the fabulous cinnamon buns they had for several of Seasons' Thanksgiving Brunches a few years ago. I've been asking for them every year at Thanksgiving and included a request with this reservation.
Asked hotel to recognize: Concierge Karen Rosington; Elizabeth & Margo at the front desk; the Ethiopian housekeeper who did our turndown service; the "big" doorman; and the Maroccon breakfast waiter (who speaks many languages).

I gave the family the choice of where they wanted to celebrate a milestone birthday for my mom and was over the moon when they said they wanted to come back to the Four Seasons DC. Having stayed only one night at the hotel in recent years, we immediately felt this was a special place with an extraordinary team who treats each other and their guests with warm and gracious care.
The location in the city is perfect for seeing all the historical treasures you will want to see. Special mention also to Michael, the incredible lead concierge, who used his golden keys to obtain special access to a not to be missed view of the White House. The last trip he helped us choose what turned out to be the city’s premier private guide. We enjoyed kayaking on the Potomac, the open to the public playground of the National Cathedral, visiting the original US Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the three Smithsonian museums. The Four Seasons assisted us in making each visit special.
Once inside the hotel, with both inner courtyard terrace and outside terrace, you are welcomed by warm light, fireplaces, and a veritable spring garden of fresh flowers. It is a delight to return every day after a long day of sightseeing.
At breakfast the first day our amazing waiter Dina jumped into action knowing we like to order, enjoy our meal, and then explore the city. He offered to customize anything we wanted and made the very best specialty coffee. The next day he remembered what we liked and proactively brought my older mother a delicious complimentary fruit and vegetable drink for a refreshing start. Dina clearly has care for others in his heart and joy in what he does.
Do not miss the spa. These are massage therapists serious about working out the knots and helping you leave the spa completely relaxed. My mom said it was the best facial she has ever had and she looked it. They book up very quickly and it is loved by both locals and return guests so booking in advance is my advice.
If you have visited DC but not stayed at the Four Seasons, staying here during your visit will be like visiting a new city. Thank you to the Four Seasons Washington DC team for making memories of a lifetime for my family. You truly have created a special place for us to look forward to returning to soon.

If you are looking for a home away from home and spectacular customer service, then this is the place for you. The rooms are large and immaculate with personal touches. The checkin process is fast and very efficient and the warm welcome starts the moment you arrive.
I was fortunate enough to communicate with Justine and she is really wonderful. She even arranged for an Easter gift to be placed in the room for my children along with my favorite shower steamers scented with lavender. She exceeded my expectations and is a joy to speak with!
Treat yourself and stay at this fabulous hotel in the heart of Georgetown. It is exceptional and the attention is in every detail.

I live in the area and booked a room at the Four Seasons for our wedding weekend. They went above and beyond to ensure I had a great experience, upgrading us to a suite and setting up the room specifically for our bridal party to get ready. From being greeted at the door by name upon check in to personal room deliveries to anticipate my group's needs, our stay was beyond amazing and worth every penny.

We very much enjoyed the decadent high tea served at the Georgetown Four Seasons Hotel by a personable staff who had fun celebrating along with our bridal brigade. A variety of sweet & savory delicacies were served along with piping hot teas of choice and champaign. Valet & local garage parking are available, we lucked out and parked on the street a block from the hotel. The Four Seasons Georgetown is one of the best high teas in Washington DC and we will return.

Extremely outdated aesthetic for 900-2500/night. Much better amenities and interiors at the Conrad or Pendry for half the price. Really shameful to see creaky handles, hinges, and door security bars for that price point. The EDITION at Tampa, with a Michelin starred restaurant, was incredibly impressive as another five star hotel. And this 4 seasons felt like I was paying more for the privacy of keeping the plebs out than having an experience of being blown away by a gorgeous once in a lifetime experience.
Also, carpet at $900/night is wholly unacceptable. Heck the AC Hotel has engineered wood flooring for $150/night. Carpeted interiors are an immediate disqualifier for the monicker of “luxury”.
As for service, I appreciated a request that the front desk accommodated for me. But I wish the note left in was addressed to my name and not someone else. When I returned this to the front desk, they didn’t create a new note for me with my name, which was a bit disappointing. But not a deal breaker.
Lastly, the gym not having a squat/power rack and deadlift/olympic weightlifting platforms in 2024 make this a worthless amenity. Strength training is a CRITICAL part of health. And leg workouts driven by high/low bar back squats, and deadlifts are a critical part of that. Not having it at a 3-star hotel is understandable for insurance reasons. Not having this at a 5-star screams cheap.
I would not recommend this place for more than $200/night. A real let down and for those seeking finer details and willing to pay, the Rosewood, pendry, or Conrad would be where I’d point them at. Unless they are celebrities looking to avoid prying eyes with a steep price barrier to keep others out, this was an overpriced let down.

We just returned from a 4 night stay -- there are simply not enough superlatives to adequately express our appreciation for every member of the warm and welcoming staff. Talk about being made to feel like you were family and at home ! A great location - large rooms filled with comfortable furniture a great bed, fabulous amenities and "quiet".. It surely checks all the boxes. It is evident that the standard across the board is "Excellence Plus" we look forward to our next trip to DC as we know where we will be staying!

The experience at the Four Seasons in Washington has been one of the best in my life. The staff is extremely professional, prepared and courteous. Rooms and all public spaces are very luxurious, but yet everyone makes you feel at home and the atmosphere is very warm. The spa is of the highest quality, with a very professional staff that really care for your needs and is willing to customize treatments to your needs. I had a special treatment for my birthday, with a handwritten note from the GM to accompany a lovely Red Velvet cake. They went out of their way to make my stay perfect.

We went in Spring 2023 for a cherry blossom trip but still felt the stay deserved a 5 star review even a year later. The location was great, in a quieter but more enjoyabe part of the town. Staff was very very friendly in both front desk and back of house roles. The restaurant had fantastic food and lovely staff too. The room was on the slightly small side but was very well presented and pristinely clean. Even looking at the photos now brings a small onto my face. At the time of our stay, the lobby had a lot of art decorations and installations, which made waiting for a taxi in the DC rain a much more pleasant experience. I would stay in the FS Washington DC again on my next trip.

We were in DC for four nights, though stayed at the Waldorf Astoria. But we were in Georgetown and decide to stop into the Ritz for a mid day drink. Left quickly as it was dark and no bar was open. Walked to the Four Seasons, which was both bright and had an open bar area. Had great drink service. But the real treats came next. I wanted to find a massage in the DC area, and asked the concierge for guidance on areas. I told him we were not staying at the FS, but he graciously helped anyway. So appreciated. Then we were about to leave, so I booked an Uber Black to the Waldorf. I was immediately asked by an employee if I was booking an Uber. I thought - oh oh - he was one of those drivers who lurk around trying to grab passengers. Nope. He was a FS employee who immediately offered us a complimentary ride to the Waldorf in their very excellent, electric Mercedes SUV. How nice is that! He was a joy to talk to on the way. Of course we took care of him at the end and were happy to do so. This is what differentiates the best from the rest. We have stayed at FS before and absolutely will in the future. Way to go FS team!!
