I went to DC on a Sunday for a week of business, and the family followed me up the next day. The hotel manager could not have been nicer and more professional, as she made sure that we had a room that was big enough for six people (at no extra cost). Additionally, we requested a roll away, which was...

This was a good place to stay-- beds were adequate and our room had a kitchenette with full fridge which was great. Nothing extravagant, but clean and inviting. Breakfast was cereal, oatmeal, pastries, bagels/toast and eggs and sausage, same every day. Staff was nice. House keeping excellent.

This place was well priced and nicely appointed but most of all it is in a wonderful location. It's a block from Pennsylvania Avenue and about two blocks the other way from the Supreme Court. The rooms are big enough for a night or two and include tiny bathrooms ( but who needs a big bathroom anyway). Ours had a...

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Capitol Hill Hotel this past weekend to see the cherry blossoms (which were damaged by the snow) but they gave us a weekend to remember! The staff was beyond welcoming and organized and willing to do anything for us. One member of the staff even moved his own car outside the hotel so...

Aww, this is just lovely to read! I'm so glad you had a great stay, despite the uncooperative weather. I think we will get to see some cherry blossoms in a few weeks, apparently one type of them was indeed frozen but there is a whole other type that survived the cold and will open soon so just come on...

The hotel is tucked in near the Library of Congress, just a short walk from Eastern Market. It was perfect for me as it was a reasonable walk to get to the museums on the Mall and quite near the Capitol South Metro stop. Customer service was friendly enough, and the room was clean.

The location of the hotel can't be beat (one block from the Capitol). The reception area of the hotel is excellent; serves warm cookies, cocoa, and coffee, with a wine reception during the weekdays, and grab-and-go breakfast for those who can't make the full breakfast next door in the mornings. On the other hand... Our hotel room (212) was *dirty*....

Thanks for this review, even though it is just painful to read! In the interest of full disclosure to other TA readers, this reviewer and I have actually already emailed separately. I received a post-stay survey from this guest on Friday and of course, responded right away so I will not so much address this guest as if we have...

I loved our stay at the Capitol Hill Hotel! The hotel is very nice, and is in the perfect location. It's in a quiet section of DC, but is literally right behind the Capitol and Library of Congress. Nearby are tons of restaurants, cafes, and bars in the Eastern Market area, and it's walking distance to the Smithsonian Museums. The...

Very expensive hotel for the room condition, staff unfriendliness and location. The hotel room was very small, had cracks in ceiling paint and a tiny bathroom. The free breakfast was a nice plus. Valet parking is fifty bucks a night, uncovered and takes forever to have your car brought around to the front. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

This is terrible, I'm so sorry you didn't enjoy the hotel! I am really surprised to read that you weren't at least happy with the location, if we don't do anything else right, folks usually love that we are so close to the sights and walkable to everything....sounds like we just didn't make a good impression from start to finish....

I recently stayed when I was in town for the Rock and Roll half marathon. It was my first half so I was already a little nervous to say the least and didn't want to worry about anything other than what the weather would be like in the morning haha. Capitol Hill calmed me as soon as I walked in...

The staff were wonderful. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of restaurants, the open market place, and to the train. Very friendly staff, very helpful and accommodating. Excellent location.
