A beautiful guesthouse with wonderful hosts. Located in the wonderful Du Pont area, this is a charming and gracious establishment. We had a memorable stay which included great breakfasts and an inpromptu dinner at the guesthouse! Very good value for money.

This is a fabulous place to stay, centrally located for sightseeing or business. The owners, Ray and Laura are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, as are the very charming staff. The Inn was once the Taiwan Embassy. They have restored the building to its original elegance, it is beautifully decorated and has gorgeous original artwork. They have finessed hospitality. We look... More

Returned to this guest house after a year or two away and I found that my high expectations were exceeded. The room amenities are superb with the guest's comfort and practical use in mind. When I mentioned I would be doing long hours of work from my room, I was immediately offered a choice of desk chairs. The linens, pillows,... More

Arriving late at night - our host Raymond welcomed us warmly and even supplied us with food after long delays due to inclement weather. What a wonderful entree to DC - our first visit - and made so enjoyable by the beautiful and luxurious accommodation, helpful and friendly staff and incredibly generous hosts - Raymond and Laura. We would have... More

I can't praise this place enough. The owners are extremely knowledgable about the city (Laura is a true native, a rarity for DC!), and exceeded every expectation I had. From the wonderful breakfast (think amazing olives and cheese, wonderful bread, preserves, etc. way better than your average hotel spread!), the comfortable and beautifully appointed room, to the evening drinks and... After coming back to the home from a day of touring DC, it was such a pleasure to kick back with a glass of wine and join our hosts and the other guests to talk and share our experiences. Later, when we retired to our spacious room, it was very quiet. There was no TV, DVD, or radio, but our... More

What a treat it was to stay at this stunningly restored guest house. Beautifully appointed in everyway, I felt very much at home and welcomed by hosts Laura and Raymond and the other staff. I highly recommend this guest house for those wanting a very special Washington experience, far better than any hotel you could stay at.

Embassy Circle Guest House is outstanding in every way! The home is immaculate and thoughtfully decorated, from the furnishings, the linens, lots of original artwork. The innkeepers, Laura and Raymond are gracious, interesting, smart and witty; staff members Ingrid and Angela gave helpful suggestions for local restaurants and neighborhood museums; the neighborhood is beautiful, and it's fascinating to discover all... Consider yourself warned - Embassy Circle Guest House is addicting. You’ll find yourself planning trips to Washington, DC just to stay there. It’s all Laura & Raymond Saba’s fault. They’re the owners – and they treat you like the most pampered house guest in town (probably because you are). Breakfast, cocktails – in the dining room and living room. Along... More

My husband and I love the ECGH and its caring owners and staff; we wouldn't consider a trip to the District without a stay here. The accommodations are beautiful, the rooms quiet, the food excellent, the company interesting, and the location strategic. Antiques and original art abound; sleeping is a breeze due to the ECGH's quiet location; breakfast is always... More
