John, the owner, is very pleasant and the Bed and Breakfast is in a perfect location, right on the 16th Street bus lines. It's an easy walk to Dupont Circle and the restaurants there, as well as great places to eat on 14th Street. There is a Starbucks a half-block away. This is an old house with creaky floors. We...

Meridian Manor is a guest house and as such you are able to be independent and come and go as you please. The hosts are very helpful, and the location is quite nice. Our room was very cozy and quite comfortable.

I recently stayed at this B&B while on a conference in Washington DC. The positives: --Great location. In the heart of Adams Morgan. Walkable or Metro-accessable to many great places (including my conference). --Getting access to the room was easy. The owner supplied a code for the door and left the key for me to pick up. It was completely...

First, what really makes me hate these review systems is that someone can actually write that we have no air conditioning, and you kinda cant do anything about it. They didnt write we didnt turn the air on.....they wrote we have no airconditioning. Of course we have air, but it was beautiful in DC at his time of stay,Oct8-10, so...

The room I got on the 4th floor walkup was very disappointing.. It was nothing like I expected from the pictures. There was no bathroom in the room, and there was a lot of dust on the TV and other furniture. There is dust also in the garden near the entrance door. The furniture is shabby, the green and bordeaux...

There is nothing anbiguous in the title of the room. it says exactly what it is, "gray room shared bathroom/4th floor." This guest made a reservation in this private room, BUT shared bathroom with one other room down the hallway. These rooms are really low priced already....like 130 usually a night room rate+ tax . There are Nicer and Bigger...

We recently spent 5 days staying at Meridian Manor B&B. For our first time in DC it was perfect . The house is in a lovely leafy part of DC ,we walked to the White House, and the circulator bus stops nearby for rapid transit in the Mall . It is also part of the U Street area which is...

This is our second stay at the Meridian Manor B&B. We returned because of two main reasons: John, the proprietor, will make sure that everything is perfect for your stay and it is located within walking distance to most of the attractions we want to visit - such as the Capital, the monuments and the museums. The hotel is vintage...

So happy that the Omni Shoreham was over-booked for the wedding! We would have missed out on our three days and nights of lovely accommodations! John is the penultimate innkeeper - He spied me walking up 16th St and came out of the brownstone to guide me and carry my luggage to the first floor! How's that for service??! The...

To me this is not like a traditional B & B. It's not up-to-date. The furniture and fixtures have seen better days however, it is comfortable and quiet. I was on a budget for this trip and tolerated the conditions. With a little elbow grease this place could turn into a real gem. But then there goes the budget.

Everything we needed in a great location. John the host was wonderful - very kind and helpful, but not at all intrusive. The room and breakfast and parking were all as promised. The Inn is a beautiful old brownstone on a tree-lined street in the historic district.
