Beautifully and luxuriously furnished hotel. Great service and great food at the restaurant CUT. Nice location being close the Potomac river and waterfront and well situated in Georgetown (also close to city centre). Easy to recommend this hotel, but it’s pricey

The DC Rosewood provided us was a fantastic weekend get away. The hotel is located right off the main street in Georgetown, with close proximity to shopping and restaurants. The hotel has a cozy library room and intimate feeling restaurant and bar area. The food, for dinner (CUT) or breakfast is top notch. The rooftop is lovely and a nice place to have snacks or a drink, or to take advantage of the indoor/outdoor heated pool. We were upgraded to an incredible Townhouse- the property has about 10 of them right next door to the main hotel building. We enjoyed the massive, clean, and very well decorated space, a kitchen and even a fireplace- making it perfect for a rainy afternoon inside! Staff was attentive and onsite valet parking is available. We are looking forward to coming back! Be sure to take advantage of AmEx Platinum benefits- $100 F&B credit, included breakfast, and extended check in/outs!

I had a comfortable two day stay, location is divine in Georgetown and easy to get to anywhere in the city in a few minutes by car. Food is excellent for breakfast lunch and dinner, staff friendly, and I was unexpectedly upgraded to a nice one bedroom suite with a large bathroom and extremely comfortable bed.
A few things to note if you’re a Rosewood regular like me, this hotel is quite small without much in the way of common areas (no proper lobby, a small room with a fireplace and a covered rooftop bar/lounge) but luckily with the upgrade I received I just hung out in my room when I had some down time. I’ll also note that given the hotel is a bit older, the room technology is a bit clunky, not enough outlets and some of the plugs don’t work, no USB ports etc like at other properties, the soundproofing isn’t great, and one of the elevators squeaks as it goes up and down so if you have a room next to it as I did, you will hear it (luckily I travel with ear plugs to sleep so it didn’t disturb me at night).
Despite this, I’d gladly return for the location, food and service, this has a decidedly non-corporate feel which is a bit rare for DC and quite refreshing.

The Rosewood DC was my first choice for my rehearsal dinner and getting ready spot in the Presidential Suite for my wedding. I met with the sales team to see the space and they were nice and attentive on sight but were delayed in getting me a proposal (they asked me for all the details again because they didn't take notes and then the head guy said he was leaving the hotel and sent me to others who would never got in touch despite me asking.) I decided not to waste anymore time and contacted the Four Seasons who booked my rehearsal dinner with 24 hours and offered me a very favorable room rate. Something is not right at the Rosewood in DC and the lack of attention to detail is not consistent with the quality of the brand. They lost out on some good business.

We booked the Presidential Suite several months in advance for a week for a once in a lifetime occasion only to find one week before arrival that the hotel had rebooked us into a Townhouse. After checking in, we learned that the hotel had another kitchen fire and closed the restaurant and several hotel rooms. We were required to move after three days to accommodate another booking. Townhouses were not equipped with basics and even after asking several times staff struggled to resolve issues such as why the refrigerator/freezer, phone and several lights didn’t work. Operating hours for the Penthouse communicated did agree with reality. Townhouses on 31st are awful due to noise on the street. The sound of jackhammers, chain saws, sledgehammers and seeing several rats in patios has been really special. The Rosewood used to be a wonderful hotel.

Dear Carmelo Travel, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of. We apologize for not meeting your expectations during your stay. Kindly note that we would like to extend a $300 credit due to the inconvenience you experienced. The project is scheduled to be completed soon and we hope to welcome you back. Sincerely, Gabor Vida

The Rosewood was an absolute treat and I loved every second of my stay. I felt a world away from the city while being central to a beloved neighborhood. Everyone I interacted with was so friendly and welcoming. The doormen, the front desk, the managers, and all other staff were wonderful.
The Rosewood has a small, well-appointed sitting room next to reception that smells amazing and offers coffee. The gym and pool are located on the roof, along with the rooftop bar, CUT Above. The rooftop views are great, though I sadly did not make it to CUT Above.
My room was fantastic and I never wanted to leave. I basically locked myself in it for my stay, leaving only for a visit to CUT (the hotel's delicious restaurant) and venturing out for breakfast. I love that the rooms have a vanity to do your makeup, though the mirror is a bit too low. The bed was supremely comfortable. But the bathroom is what really stands out. It was huge, with a gorgeous tub and lovely rainfall shower. I barely left the tub and shower. Everything was immaculately clean.
This was my first stay at a Rosewood property and it will not be my last. The attention to detail, service, and ambiance were absolutely perfect.

All things considered for 2020, we really enjoyed our stay at The Rosewood in Georgetown. The staff, led by Gabor, was all very helpful and accommodating. We stayed in a Rosewood Suite and loved everything about the room. It was clear a lot of care had been taken to make sure the room was thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. There was even a personal care kit in the room which included masks, wipes and a small bottle of hand sanitizer. Unfortunately the restaurant closed just before our arrival (DC Covid restrictions on indoor dining) but we look forward to returning when the property is fully open. Thank you to the full staff for making our stay so enjoyable!

We came here for a romantic 4th of July getaway, and immediately loved the location in a quiet corner of Georgetown next to the canal and tow path where we took a long stroll. Our room was upgraded thanks to Am Ex membership, and we had a sunny corner suite with nice views, plus a large bathroom with a nice vanity and tub next to the window. I was thrilled finally to find an American hotel with a bidet! (It's the little things...) The bed was very comfortable and despite the fireworks outside the room was quiet at night, maybe because of the thick windows. And... Wolfgang Puck! After eating the delicious dark chocolate they sent as a welcome, we had divine truffle fries and cocktails in the indoor bar (too hot for rooftop) because we were walking to the waterfront for dinner. Next time we'll try the restaurant. Also, the rooftop pool was booked solid (it's small) so next time we'll make a reservation. The staff were all very professional, from desk clerk to doorman. All told, a wonderful stay. We'll be back.

I booked my stay through AllCall and was pleased with their recommendation. The room was spacious, has lovely architectural details, and the hotel was in a central location in Georgetown. We had a $60 room credit for daily breakfast, which didn't totally cover the cost of breakfast. It covered about 1 entree per person (there were two of us) and one of us could get juice or coffee. That being said the food and service were great. I called in advance and let the hotel know we were celebrating my husband's birthday. They delivered a gift of chocolate truffles on the day closest to his actual birthday. Unfortunately, the plate said Happy Anniversary (I guess something got lost in translation), but the effort was still very nice. The staff who heard about the mistake brought us mimosas with breakfast the following morning. Overall a very nice stay.

We live in the area but choose this property a few times a year for special getaways. Ismail, assistant director of rooms, is always fantastic and helps insure a wonderful visit. A little treat is often delivered, showing appreciation for our patronage, which is very much appreciated. We needed help securing a reservation and the hotel came through. The valet is always welcoming and helpful too. We will be back soon. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

wonderful to hear from you. We do have an in-outdoor rooftop pool which is just the right size to relax after a long day of sightseeing. We do have sundeck chairs in which you can lounge and relax next to the pool. The bar and lounge are on the other side of the rooftop, so you will have privacy while enjoying the sun.
