What is the closest metro the Intercontinental hotel at the wharf
Dear 656tammyr, We are located about equidistant to two Metro stations. L'Enfant Plaza is three blocks east of the Hotel and a major stop on the system served by the Yellow, Green, Blue, Orange, and Silver Lines. This is the stop to use if you are coming or going to Ronald Reagan International Airport. Smithsonian is three blocks north of the hotel served by the Red, Blue, Orange, and Silver lines. I hope this helps. Kind regards, Mandarin Oriental, Washington DC

I’m going to DC with my 10 year old daughter at the end of June. We fly into Washington Reagan (DCA). What’s the best (fastest) way to get to the Mandarin Oriental from the DCA airport? We are trying to make it in time for a retirement ceremony. Thank you!
Dear Avian33, Many of our fans have already answered your question, but I still hope you will indulge one more. MO is located only about 15 minutes from Ronald Reagan International Airport. We are actually the closest hotel in the District of Columbia to DCA. Taxi cabs are abundant at DCA and fares will cost you less than USD 20. Uber and Lyft are also popular and easy options. Metrorail is another quick and easy option and the L'Enfant Plaza station is four stops from the airport on the Greenbelt-bound Yellow line. However, it is a bit of a walk from the Metro to the hotel so I don't necessarily recommend it if you have a lot of luggage. Alternately, you may contact our concierge and arrange for a private sedan transfer. The driver will meet you at baggage claim and personally escort you to the waiting car and assist with luggage. Please feel free to call our concierge colleagues at (202) 554-8588. Kind regards, Dave Walsh Director of Sales and Marketing

Are there nearby coffee shops.
As several of our guests have already mentioned, there is a Starbucks right on the circle and just steps away. Coming this spring, Blue Bottle Coffee will be opening its first location in DC at the Wharf and guests will be just minutes from experiencing their very freshly roasted beans and hand-prepared pour-over coffees.

Hello, we are looking for a hotel with kid friendly perks next weekend with our 6 year old. I noticed some older reviews mentioning a panda and giraffe toothbrush. Are these or other things still provided? Thank you!
Dear Pingle, Mandarin Oriental, Washington DC loves to cater to its "Little Fans." We know that if the children are happy, you'll be happy, too. Little Fans all receive a plush MO panda bear upon arrival as a nice "Wow" to welcome them to the hotel. At your request, we will also provide child-sized bathrobes, slippers, and the special giraffe tooth brush you mentioned above. MO has developed special kid-friendly menus in our restaurants and through In-Room Dining. Most of all, our Little Fans enjoy swimming in our indoor heated pool as a way to burn off some energy after a day of sightseeing and before bedtime. So, don't forget to bring your swimsuits. Our concierge team will also be happy to create a special itinerary for you based on your interests and its best if you call them before your arrival, if possible. I hope this helps! Kind regards, Mandarin Oriental, Washington DC
