I haven't been to DC in over 10 years and I must say I picked the perfect hotel to "welcome" me back. I stayed at the Mandarin from a Monday through Friday. Loved my stay the entire time. Everyone was extremely nice and accommodating. I'd left my computer charger and asked if there was one available that I could borrow... More

This is a modern hotel located in an excellent location to visit the sites of Washington DC. We were there over Thanksgiving where turkey and pumpkin pie were the order of the day. Overall we were pleased with our stay and would recommend the hotel for courteous and attentive service.

The rooms have been renovated, which is very nice. It's a a relaxing place to stay. Food in restaraunts and room service is outstanding. I also love the new bath products. Someone has paid attention to upgrade the experience. However, someone needs to upgrade the service overall. Housekeeping is poor. They don't do a good job of cleaning the rooms.... More

Dear normaf818, Thank you very much for being a loyal fan of Mandarin Oriental, Washington DC. Visiting during the holidays is one of the best times to really experience Washington DC without the crowds. All of the museums of the Smithsonian Institution are open on Thanksgiving (I visited the excellent Renwick Gallery on the holiday) and are, in fact, open... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in a suite with our two small kids (2 & <1yr). A trip that is usually a lot of work for us was made very pleasant by the staff here. Not only were the panda bears appreciated, but the baby bathroom toiletries were such a nice surprise! The crib they let us use worked... More

Visited the hotel with a friend as we'd heard good things from other people but hadn't tried the afternoon tea. Took a while to get acknowledged from any servers in the lounge. Eventually sat down at a weird table behind another sofa in the direct sunlight. Food stand was very small with even smaller items of food and none replenished.... More

Great location. Wonderful service. Room warm and comfortable with outstanding housekeeping including the turn down service. The bed is VERY comfortable and one can tell that the linens are high end. Highly recommend.

Dear Drdam, We are very happy to have earned your recommendation to TripAdvisor users. Thank you for your Five Star review! A hotel can have a lot of things that we have--Spa, great restaurant, lively lounge, convenient location, intuitive service--but it really doesn't matter if the bed isn't comfortable. I'm glad the new beds we installed during our $20m guest... More

Loved the room, but the hotel is far from downtown ..the service was excellent and again, the room was beautiful and had a view of the Potomac. Good value for the money, so if you have to take uber to your business meeting, it's worth it
