This is a very nice property. We rented a 2 bedroom apartment for 1 week in mid July 2024.
Pros:
-The location was fantastic. It was a 5 minute walk to the NoMa-Gallaudet U Metro station and a 10 minute walk from Union Station. The neighborhood was nice, safe, and had plenty of restaurants, and was in walking distance to the Union Market District. We all enjoyed walking around and living in this area for thw week we were there. -The Pool on the roof was great, with nice views of downtown and the Capitol Building. - The gym is the building was great. Plenty of room and machines with a Yoga studio as well as an outside CrossFit area. -Check-In was super easy as was checkout. (The key system is a little weird, but you get used to it quickly) -Even though he property is right next to the main train lines coming into the city it was very quiet and we never heard the trains once during our entire stay.
Cons:
-WiFi. The WiFi was very poor and was a hinderance when trying to do any work that required an interned connection. I found that I was better off using cellular data and turning the WiFi off.
-The bed. Oh, the bed. As stated above, we rented a 2 bedroom apartment.
The second bedroom had a queen size bed with a normal, soft mattress, as did the pullout couch in the living area.
The Master bedroom had a slab of granite in place of the mattress. It was the hardest mattress I have ever been in the presence of in my life. It is beyond my comprehension why any company would make a mattress this firm, and why a person furnishing any space would purchase this mattress and think that a human could sleep on it comfortably.
It was so bad that we ordered a pillow top from Amazon after the second night and had it delivered to the building so we could try and get some sleep. It helped very little. The mattress was that hard.
This leads me to my next "con." This isn't a hotel so there isn't a traditional front desk or concierge or anything like that to address your issues or concerns. There is a person stationed at the front, but they are more of a doorman that accepts packages and deliveries than anything else. If you have issues you need to call the Global Luxury Suites 800 number and it really goes nowhere.
I am not one to complain, and I never write reviews, but I felt it was my duty to warn others about this mattress as I'm sure it wasn't the only apartment that contained one of these abominations

Not impressed. I had a problem with check in with the keyless entry. Very confusing. No good customer service support. I spoke to operator, left my info with no return call after I called back the phone was busy signal. Broken sofa bed and very uncomfortable. Regular bed felt like cardboard. Very skimpy utensils, cookware etc. This place was decently clean and decorated but definitely trying to skimp on amenites but chargr full price. I will stay at a hotel next time.

Good apartment in a nice area about 15 min walk to the capitol and Union station and 30 Min to National Mall. The building is beautiful and modern with nice lobby area and gym. Nice restaurants nearby. We rented 2 bedroom apartment. It was clean and spacious but very basic inside. My biggest complaint is very hard mattress and constant noise from the train nearby.

Great location in NoMa close to Union Station and within walking distance of the capital if you are so inclined. There are multiple restaurants and a Harris Teeter grocery within 3 blocks. Park the car ($40/day in public lot underneath building) everything is within walking distance or accessible thru the Metro. The building is very secure. The access app is user friendly, but takes some time to navigate. Our unit was well appointed and comfortable. We had everything we needed to cook simple meals. It had a small balcony that overlooked the courtyard. Note that the rentals are a part of a building with residents. I would definitely stay again.

Short term rental scamming at it's best. My husband and I were in Bethesda for business and after driving for hours, we were asked by the front desk associate if we were checking into apartment 506. We said yes and he proceeded to let us know that two other guests were confirmed for the exact same apartment, and to top it off, there were people in the unit that refused to leave. We had to wait over an hour to be placed in another unit and after finally getting settled and cleaning the unit again, we were able to rest.
The next day, our anniversary, we were in the middle of being intimate and someone entered the apartment! My husband jumped up and ran to the door to stop them from coming all the way into the apartment. The man said he was there to clean the carpet in the bedroom and that he was told the unit was empty (clearly it wasn't). When we called customer service there was no one available and the front desk rep said there was nothing they could do and apologized. Then we got a call from Global Luxury saying our original unit was empty and ready and that we needed to go to that one because they had someone booked for our replacement unit. This was extremely unacceptable and said no, they tried to charge us more than what was paid and said there was nothing else that could be done. After asking to speak to management we were told we could stay and actually asked for a good review...
Was the building nice, yes, is it in a convenient location, yes, would we recommend staying there, no. It's extremely unorganized and the odds of your unit being double or triple booked are very high. Customer service and sales will not answer or return your calls and clearly do not care about customer satisfaction.

Don’t stay here. Far from attractions, limited shops and food nearby - closest is railway station. Poor communication ahead of arrival meant we couldn’t get into our apartment on arrival, took over an hour from arrival to get in. If the buildings concierge hadn’t been there I’m not convinced I would have ever got into the room - stupidly complicated - downloading apps and codes and phone calls to get in. I would have given up and gone round the corner to the Marriot. Chose this for space and suite and pool access. Arrival destroyed any chance they had of a good review, then the location is terrible and then there’s the pool - the other reason for choosing. The pool didn’t open till late morning so never used it - pools need to be available at 7am! Then it closes early evening - so never available for tourists visiting the city, really poor consumer experience.

We had an excellent stay at the Global Luxury Suites. We had very clear instructions on how to access the building and the apartment but we were also helped when checking in by Kathy from Global Luxury Suites. The apartment was very clean, very comfortable and had many amenities that made for a very comfortable stay. The location is excellent in that we could walk to two Metro stations in less than 10 minutes. There were plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants and supermarkets within a few minutes walk.

We arrived mid afternoon and as others have mentioned in reviews the arrival experience was as chaotic as can be. The Uber address did not match the real address, then figuring out what code to use on the main door, in the elevator and finally on the apartment door was not easy. When we arrived, we coincided with others that were equally confused as we were. There was no concierge in the lobby.
We had 2 apartments and in neither the sofa beds were made up, nor was there any linen to make it. When calling the customer service number, none answered. Finally we did get through on the emergency number. The concierge in the lobby has nothing to do with these rentals, so we were sent up to the 3rd floor to the office responsible for these rentals. The lady luckily was there and quite friendly, but I had to go to the basement to get the linens. The attendant did not have a cart, and had to use her office chair with wheels to transport supplies. I guess ownership cannot afford to buy her a cart.
The apartment was clean, the AC cold, the washer and dryers like new, the kitchen spacious, but in one of the apartments there was only 1 spoon. The bathtub had a shower curtain instead of a glass partition or door, but was spacious. The gym was really spacious with lots of good equipment.
The water pressure was very weak and the water was not very hot, and one evening only luke warm to cold. The internet was terrible, making it impossible to work. When I inquired about it to the concierge, she told me to call Verizon. I asked a permanente resident of the building who I met in the elevator who wore a suit if the internet issues were typical, and he said yes, it’s horrible.
We will not stay at one of there properties again. It was quite disappointing.

If gaslighting were a company, it would be Global Luxury Suites. They overcharged me $160.00 for parking and refused to return my money! Katy was the employee I dealt with regarding issues I had with the unit I was assigned. The room had an unpleasant smell and white dust on the furniture that triggered an allergic reaction. I needed to change rooms. Customer service was giving me a hard time about my room change request. After speaking with customer service over the phone for almost an hour and enlisting the help of the building staff; Katy came to assist me in getting my room change. She also helped with adding a parking pass to my reservation. I was told that the parking fee was $40 a day. However, I was NOT informed that they would charge me for the full length of my stay, as I only needed the parking pass for two days.
When I noticed the charge, I immediately contacted Katy. It was agreed that I would receive a refund when the parking pass was returned. Following Katy's instructions, I left the parking pass with the front desk concierge. I informed Katy and Jared that the parking pass was at the front desk. After I didn't receive a response from either of them, I called Katy, and she said she never received the pass. I provided her with the date, time, and the name of the concierge I handed the pass to. I requested my refund, as the pass is not my responsibility after it was returned. Katy’s response was that she has nothing to do with my refund and parking passes were not her responsibility.
I followed up with customer service repeatedly, but they refused to issue the money I was overcharged citing that it was never returned as if I made everything up. Despite the email threads and text messages, the billing department repeatedly denied my request to escalate my concerns to upper management. They ignored my emails and phone calls. I was told that my case was closed since the parking pass was still missing, they will not investigate, and I should cut my losses. What company holds their customers responsible for an internal problem?! Your inability to properly document or keep track of your parking passes while in your company’s possession, is not my burden to bear! Also they have no right to money that they SHOULD NOT have collected in the first place! I'm infuriated by the company's lack of accountability for their errors. DO NOT get swept in by their accommodations. It's not worth the headache or the money you would lose if you run into a problem with them. RUN AWAY from any accommodation managed by Global Luxury Suites.

Quite pleased with Global Luxury Suites for our vacation home away from home. It was close enough to get everywhere we wanted to go easily. From the entry, to the lobby to the elevator bank to the apartment, it was clean, quiet and welcoming. The digital/app access made it so easy to get in and out. The living/dining area were very nice but my favorite parts of the apartment were the bedroom, closet and bathroom which were quite generous in terms of space. Also, it was clearly a professionally managed place. The communications were clear and timely. There were easily found internet and television instructions and they left a nice welcome gift of little things that you need. Highly recommended.
