The Monaco is a historic building that has been gracefully restored. Rooms are spacious and well-appointed. It is located within walking distance of many museums, sights and restaurants. Good restaurant on site

The Monaco not only enjoys an amazing location, but also is housed in a charming and historic building. We stay frequently for mini-vacations in Penn Quarter, either to see a game, meet friends for dinner and drinks, visit the local attractions/museums. This hotel has every modern convenience, yet you don't feel like you are one of a thousand guests. While...

Mmmm AnnapolisLocal - if I hadn't just had breakfast in Poste this morning, your review would want to make me head up tomorrow morning! (Had the full American too!) Many thanks for the kind words, Chef Marron's treats are not to be missed and I'm glad you were able to sample so many of them! We love that you're local...

I booked this hotel well in advance for a conference, I was pleased by the location and the historical touch of the hotel. First wave of anger when I was told that there are no rooms available except in the basement, and that I will be moved to another room the next day. After my refusal, they came up with...

Stayed here in December on 1st trip to Washington. What a lovely hotel. Had on a room on the same floor as the lobby. The room was lovely and big and had everything you could hope for. The complementary coffee in the morning between 6-9 is most welcome and you can request to have a coffee maker in your room....

Our son and daughter in law gave us a very special gift of 3 nights. Our son talked to Debbie about this special occasion for us, and she with Nicole and Danielle planned and decorated our room including pics of our 1 year old granddaughter, wine, rose petals, and cupcakes. This was the most amazing welcome we have ever had...

Spend Fri & Sat nights in DC. We had a room on the 1st floor (the basement): thought that it would be dark and cramped but we were pleasantly surprised as we received a corner room which was spacious and had a vaulted ceiling. Overall a nice room and bathroom: clean and fun and surprisingly, it was really quiet at...

We stayed at this hotel because of its location near the Verizon Center and we can travel with our dog without an extra fee. Beautiful facade in a world of modern structure. The staff are wonderful. I felt very attended to. Rooms are wonderful but unlike some I had no goldfish to feed. This appears to be one of their things. Saw fish bowels so know they have them. Bed nice. Robes and stockings. So cute. Do try this place.

I enjoy the Kimpton Hotels, so tried the Hotel Monaco when I was in D.C. for business recently. It's very modern, and they upgraded me to a big corner room with a fantastic view. I almost wished I could have stayed longer. The service was wonderful and the location convenient to my D.C. meetings. I would highly recommend this hotel....
