The property is in desparate need of refurbishment. The place is dirty, public areas dirty, rooms need upgrading, plastic covers on mattresses, staff attitude on reception is more than rude. Sometimes you take a risk on a hotel...this is not one worth taking!

I booked the Baron as it was in a good location, and looked to be the best reviewed for the price we paid. We arrived at about 7.30pm just as a quiz was about to start in the adjoining bar. As keen 'quizzers' we dumped our baggage so that we could take part. There is plenty of good beer to... More

The taxi driver from Union Station said he had never taken anyone to stay there . That should have ben a warning. There is no service to clients, be it luggage handling, recommending eateries, taxis etc. The appearance of the place made me want to get back in the taxi. Downstairs is a lively bar with far to many beers... More

The hotel is in a prime location, near multiple metro stations (a few minutes walk to Dupont Circle, 20-30 minutes walk to two other stations on the blue line). There are multiple nice restaurants, convenience stores, bakeries nearby. The hotel has a bar, not sure if it's the same owner. It's not too noisy when the bar goers are all... More

We picked The Baron hotel as it was the cheapest by far that we could find in a good central location. Our room was very spacious with 2 large double beds plus a large bathroom. The room could do with being updated, the furniture had seen better days and the wardrobe leant to the left! The bathroom particularly was in... More

This hotel is located about 3 blocks from the DuPont Circle metro red line which makes it very easy to navigate the DC areas very quickly. We were also able to take buses very easily to the Georgetown area which is very close. That being said, the hotel is nothing to shout about. It is shabby and a bit run... More

I don't have to tell you that Washington DC is an expensive town to visit. The Baron Hotel, while not cheap compared to, say, Albuquerque, is very reasonably priced for the location and the quality and safety it offers. It's in a nice neighborhood off Dupont Circle, not far from the Metro. We met the night guy and the morning... More

Nice and quiet hotel. I was in the back. There is a bar connected to it but didn't hear any noise. Good location. Went running to the monuments. beautiful neighborhood to walk around. Room was clean and in good repair.

Hotel is in a great location. Lots of shops and restaurants in the area and 10 walk minutes to metro to go into centre of town. Hotel similar to what your would expect from a B&B. You could hear the entertainment from our room on 2nd floor however it was not too bad and I was so tired from seeing... More

Our room was a bit shabby and air conditioning extremely noisy. But it's reasonably priced and it's in a good location. Easy transport into the centre and just round the corner from the excellent Phillips collection. The beer bar downstairs at the Baron is very well stocked with friendly staff and does food.
