The location of The St. Regis Washington, D.C. was ideal. My boyfriend and I love luxury hotels and we were very excited to stay at this property after seeing gorgeous pictures featured on St. Regis' Instagram. The lobby is beautiful and very welcoming. Unfortunately, the room decor is dated and quite drab. The bathroom had been updated and was very... More

This was a most pleasant four night stay last month. I had booked a small suite and was upgraded to the larger Astor Suite, a corner pair of rooms with plenty of space in which to relax. Plenty of light, although views were nothing to speak of. Check-in was prompt, courteous and altogether pleasant. I was asked if I wanted... More

When I travel, I want to experience the best in each city. The St. Regis Washington was the perfect choice to fulfill this goal. First of all, the building was stunning – there is no other way to say it. They just don’t build hotels like this anymore – it really is beautiful. When you enter the property, the history... More

My husband and I spent two nights at the St. Regis over the Memorial Day weekend. We could not have asked for a better location - it was convenient to every place we wanted to visit. It is a nice, older hotel - the lobby, especially the ceilings, were beautiful. Our room - a deluxe king was small, as was... More

Once you get past the lobby, it's a pretty tired hotel. For a businessperson the rooms leave a lot to be desired. For 1 King @ $376.71/night, one might expect a hot water heater, perhaps with a tea or coffee bag. The desk was tiny, a straight back wooden chair without arms, corded phones and not enough plugs. The smallish... More

We spent four nights in May on the American Express Fine Hotel program. Loved the hotel and the location. The staff and facilities were outstanding. So was the food. We were not upgraded because the hotel was too full. Our room on the 7th floor was terrific and quiet. Breakfasts were particularly delightful because of the dining room and the... More

My wife and I recently stayed at the St. Regis for two nights over the Memorial Day weekend. This was our first stay at a St. Regis, so I was anxious to compare it to other upscale hotels. Everything was great. We arrived early but the reception was nice enough to accomodate us (and then even accommodated us again after I asked for a different room than the first one we were offered facing the construction across the street). Our second room view was a bit lacking, it had an interior view of some half-built possibly dilapidated buildings,... More
