Javier and Barbie are the most amazing and friendly hosts. We are a family of 5 with 3 kids aged 7, 13 and 15 yrs and the incredible hospitality shown to us was an experience in itself. Javier has such great knowledge of Trinidad and will run you through the "not to miss" sights and sounds of his beautiful home...

A truly memorable accommodation. The room is located in the city centre, just few steps from Plaza Mayor, bus stop, travel agencies and the brilliant nightlife. We got a very nice, fully equipped spacious room with bathroom (cold/hot water) and access to patio where we were served meals. Breakfasts were tasty and the dinners prepared by Barbara absolutely delicious. The...

Javier takes tremendous pride in offering the best possible stay in Trinidad. You feel like good friends from the beginning. They offer and I recommend the breakfast and/or extravagant dinners. The food is just amazing and the price is better than the cafes! Their little dog is the friendliest and kindest you could ever meet. Trinidad has so many charms...

Javier is a great host. He was informative, welcoming and had great stories to tell. We had a giant room to ourselves with a wonderful rooftop patio, where we could enjoy the beers that he had stocked in our fridge. The rooms were clean and comfortable. He provided assistance with almost all parts of our trip, including taxis and purchasing...

We arrived in Trinidad expecting to stay for one night but ended up staying for three! We were very comfortable in the room which has a separate entrance and is extremely well located in the centre of town but also quiet (it is down a well-lit side alley). Javier is extremely knowledgeable and well-connected, he loves Trinidad and is keen...

We would count this as our worst night in our two week stay on Cuba. The home was filthy and looked neglected. There were empty beer bottles at the entrance, there was no toilet seat. The painting of the walls looked sloppy and rushed. We could not wait to leave and cut our stay short.

Actually Javier didn`t have room available for us. But ha has contact to 10 other rooms and arranged room for us at Hugos place on the other side of the street. But Javier gave us the best service you can wish. When we arrived he told us shortly about the town and what to see and where to find what....

We came to trinidad in high season - 29.12. without reservation! With his organisational talent he managed to find us not only a wonderful casa in the middle of old trinidad, but also found us a taxi back to Varadeiro on the 31.12.!!, thank you very much!

Why stayed at Hostal Javier for 4 nights. We were in an apartment which was separate from the main house and up a small alleyway. This meant it was really nice and quiet. There were 2 bedrooms but we only used one as we were travelling as a couple. The bedroom was spacious and the bed comfortable. Air conditioning worked...

This is a well kept, well located casa on Trinidad's main street, and whose owners are incredibly helpful. Javier, who speaks good English, will go well out of his way to help all of his clients with any issue; however, because he helps to manage several other casas and taxis, he is somewhat overextended and has said he intends to...
