The hotel is situated up on a hill and so provides beautiful views across the valley and out to the ocean. The restaurant served good quality food and is a pretty spot. As a hotel on a relatively small island we would not expect flash amenities, but there were a few basics that were a bit disappointing. The shower was...

We enjoyed a lovely dinner a couple of evenings ago. The view is to die for and the service was first rate. Newly redecorated to a very tasteful level Certainly worth a visit when you are on the island.

This is one of the few hotels on the island because there is limited water for large hotels. Most accommodations are B&Bs, 3-4 room places, etc. The efficiency apts were comfortable and clean with refrigerator/ cooktop, sink & stove. Be aware it is built on a steep hillside as are most places on Waiheke Island. The staff was wonderful. They...

We were very excited to be staying at this beautiful accommodation over the weekend for a wedding, however we felt quite disappointed. When we arrived at the hotel and tried to check in (1.40pm) we were told no, we aren't allowed to check in until 2pm. We appreciated that with many rooms to clean etc. that 11am check in would...

From a rainy Auckland to a sunny Waiheke. We immediately got informed by the friendly staff that the pool was not working. For that they offered free breakfast. Before we booked I read that one night wouldn't be enough. So I booked two. Could have stayed at least a week. Palm Beach, the food, the wineries, the scenery, our cottage,...

Stayed here over a weekend in January for 2 nights in a Two Bedroom Apartment. The views from the room were wonderful, looking down to the beach. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was delicious, the pork belly salad made a great summer night dish and the steak was cooked to perfection. Reception staff was very helpful...

We had been invited to Waiheke Island to attend a 60th, and thought that as this could be an all night affair we would book on the resort for a few days afterwards for some R and R. However this was not to be the case. The first thing to note, as previous reviewers have, is that if you are...

Had a fabulous evening of superb jazz with Mike Field and supporting musicians who were also outstanding, at Waiheke Island Resort. The show was held in the dining room, newly renovated, with stunning panorama of Palm Beach. The meal served during the show was sensational - loved the pairing of duck confit with rhubarb, John Dory fish cooked to perfection...

This motel was good value for a family of four in a two bedroom apartment. It is reasonably modern with comfortable beds, and the villas are private and feature fabulous views towards Palm Beach. The staff were friendly at check-in. The only criticism was the apartment could have been more thoroughly cleaned - the bottom of the shower door was...

We didn't stay at the actual resort but in some attached privately owned villas. The restaurant was 10 steps from our villa so we decided to eat dinner there The salmon was cooked to perfection. We had an appetizer too (which I forget ) but that too was heavenly! The palace wasn't that busy. Surprising given how wonderful it was....
