This was our first visit to NZ and the Boat Shed will always be remember as one of our great finds. The staff, food, and facility are outstanding. The view of the harbor and the beach cove 10 minutes away make the location perfect. If you like design you will love this place.

The Boatshed is a small (6) room boutique hotel that is one of the most charming places we have ever stayed. After being warmly welcomed and greeted by Jen and Jack we were led to our unique "home" for the next couple of days. We stayed in one of the bungalows and it was like having our own little home...

Excellent and friendly hospitality for only a one night stay, including lending me a jeep for half a day to explore the Island. Really welcoming. First class dinner with an exceptional choice of local and international wines.

We had the good fortune of staying at this magnificent, romantic, unique hotel. The views are spectacular, the food AMAZING and the staff are all first rate. Our stay here was most enjoyable and we highly recommend it... Your host Jonathan is a class act! We will definitely return to experience this piece of heaven on our next trip here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay in the hospitable, comfortable hotel with the best food on the island. Jonathan and his team are absolutely sublime hosts, meeting every need we might have before we thought of it. Blankets and books everywhere; lots of comfy seating, indoors and outdoors by the view. Jonathan and Ian cook up the most wonderful organic...

My wife and I are from New York and we do a lot of traveling. This winter we are spending four months in Hawaii, New Zealand and Fiji. Our first destination in New Zealand was on the picturesque and charming Waiheke Island. The Island is an amazing destination and well worth a two or three day visit. While on Waiheke...

We had one of the Boat Shed rooms with a glorious view and complete privacy. Excellent room. Staff were wonderfully helpful. Loved the chefs tour of the large vegetable garden and his cooking. Dined on the deck with a spectacular view of the water and sunset. Were sent off in one of their jeeps for a wine tour and swim...

Our initial impressions, which are so important, were actually formed way back when we first enquired about booking our stay at The Boatshed. Responses by email were prompt and friendly. But, requests for information about a helicopter transfer from Auckland Airport were met with an acknowledgment and an undertaking to send further info, however this was never forthcoming. My partner...

We enjoyed 2 absolutely wonderful days at The Boatshed at the end of our NZ adventure. It is such a beautiful place where every little detail is thought of – so serene and with the best atmosphere. We had high expectations and they were definitely exceeded. The staff is so friendly and service-minded and guided us to a wonderful walk...
