My wife and I stayed here for a romantic get away at the end of a tour of New Zealand - and what a lovely country! Breakfast on the Beach Lodge was without a doubt our best and our most memorable accommodation. The Lodge was full but the service and attention to detail provided by Keith and Marilyn made you...

Thank you for your review Bob. Marilyn and I thoroughly enjoyed having you stay and we look forward to the opportunity of hosting you and Sylvia again in the future. As you noted, water is definitely our feature view and is great when you get the opportunity to enjoy activities both on it and in it. Regards Marilyn and Keith

My husband and I had the most wonderful weekend on Waiheke mostly due to the exceptional quality of rooms, friendliness of our hosts, proximity to restaurants and town and best massage ever ever ever. If you want a sanctuary of bliss coupled with interesting and welcoming hosts on Waiheke this is your place. We'll be back for sure.

Thank you for the lovely review Frances. We enjoyed hosting you both and so pleased we were able to make it a special weekend for you. Remember Australia is only a few hours away and we have had guests catch a snapper from the kayak within 2 hours of landing in Auckland! Warm regards Keith & Marilyn

Generally not bad, but for $600+ a night, I would expect a bit more. My major gripe would be the bed (think I must of been in the same room as the person who mentioned it below)- probably the softest I have ever slept on. The 'roll-together' with my husband was so bad he ended up sleeping on the pull-out...

Dear Saisun, We are sorry you did not thoroughly enjoy your stay. We recall the evening you phoned us when the three of you were in transit on the 8pm car ferry to Waiheke Island. The island was full and you were desperate for accommodation, not wishing to have to sleep in the car. We advised at the time that...

I chose this venue based on the recommendation of fellow travelers that use Tripadvisor. I am a regular user of Tripadvisor and when I read that this venue won a "Tripadvisor Traveller's Choice 2011 Winner" award I felt confident that all would be well. I was not disappointed. What a gorgeous location! Furthermore, our hosts, Keith and Marilyn were outstanding in...

Keith and Marilyn have considered every detail for a laid back, yet elegant and sensuously comfortable experience! Great Breakfast too~ Unfortunately we only had one night to enjoy at this amazing place. We will return~ Biking, walking, hiking, Its truly a place to get away and smell the roses, yet Auckland is a short 40 minute ferry ride away. Would...

Thank you for the review. It was our pleasure to host you and your friends at Breakfast on the Beach and we look forward to the opportunity again next time you are are back in NZ. 1 day is a little too short to look round Waiheke Island - it might seem a rather small place but it still takes...

We stayed here for four nights after spending nearly three weeks travelling around America and Australia, looking for some 'down time' before we started our journey back to the UK. Waiheke Island is the perfect location to do it, and this hotel more than exceeded our expectations when it came to service and facilities. We were collected from the ferry...

Thank you both for your lovely review. Keith and I enjoyed hosting you for your-end-of-holiday break before returning home..,,,,,,,,...and sadly no doubt straight back to the realities of work. We trust we will get the opportunity to host you again - the hammock awaits! Best wishes.

We stayed Christmas day 2011 and from the moment I emailed the lodge to make reservations Keith and Marilyn made everything 100% seamless for us. They took down details of what we preferred to eat, how to get to the island, what to do, etc. Waiheke Island is such a nice change from the busy city life of Auckland and...

Thank you for your great review. We recall your visit over Christmas and it is a beautiful time of the year to visit with the pohutukawa trees in full bloom. We have travelled all over the world and our stay at breakfast on the beach is as good as it gets! Our hosts Keith and Marilyn were unobtrusive and yet helpful and lovely. The accommodation was faultless with a high attention to detail. We felt really spoilt and relaxed and highly recommend breakfast on the beach!

Dear Maradenver, We recall your stay with us and as with all our guests it was our pleasure to host you. Keith and Marilyn are born hosts. From being picked up in the drop-top Sebring convertible from the Ferry, to the welcome nibbles in the room along with a half bottle of a scrumptious local red, these guys have thought of everything.
