Well located and presented site; perfect for motorhome tourists awaiting the ferry. Good check in experience, knowledgable staff and clear instructions on how to find the allocated site and facilities.

We were disappointed in the ensuite cabin. It was tiny! We have stayed in many larger motel rooms for the same price or less. The Top 10 park is within easy reach of the Picton ferry which is good but it didn't compare well to other top 10 sites we have

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review regarding your stay with us. We are sorry to hear you were disappointed. Yes our Ensuite cabins are compact, but have everything you need in them. Sky Tv, bathroom, kitchenette, WIFI, and a comfy bed. We do have much larger rooms available which are 1 and 2 bedroom motels. We hope you enjoy the rest of your travels. And hope to see you back next time you are in Picton. Regards Peter, Mel and the team @ Picton TOP 10 Holiday Park.

Friendly staff, well maintained amenities and close to Picton, cruise ships and Queen Charlotte Walk. Only a five minute walk from the Holiday Park to catch the Cruise boat and five minutes from town. Quiet and leafy location, excellent camp kitchen and big powered sites.

You will be able to walk to the Ferry but it would take 30 minutes. Driving about 5 minutes. Because the camp is behind the marina I don't think you have a good view of the ferries.

We toured NZ (both islands) last year in late February-March in a camper and most of the time we would either make reservation the same day (over the Internet through our phone), or we just turned up. We have never ran into any problems. We have almost always got in sometimes in the afternoon before dinner so we had time to cook and chill, but have noticed that by later evening most of the places filled up. It worked really well for us, because if we liked it somewhere, we stayed longer without having to worry that we would have to rebook our places further down the road and the flexibility was great, however we did go a month later than you are planning, which may have been a little further into the off-season. NZ - what a fantastic place!!
