If we could have stayed here longer, we would have. The self contained apartments are privately owned so each set up might be different but the one we stayed in, right on the waterfront was beautiful. Very well appointed inside, very spacious with all the mod cons, incl washing machine. It was perfect. We cannot fault our stay there. You...

A perfect getaway for myself and my daughter, arriving on a bitterly cold day the day improved significantly with the warm welcome we received on arrival at reception. Stayed in the Captain Cook rooms and the bedding was absolute top quality and a stunning view out to the harbour. A perfect location thank you.

We treated ourselves to a night here after two days hard trekking. The Luxury Suite was expensive compared to other accommodation in Akaroa, but the spa and extra comfy bed made it well worth it! Great view and huge balcony. Only downside was that it was over the office which was noisy quite early on.

We chose the Akaroa VIllage Inn as the start of our tour of the South Island Just over an hour away from Christchurch airport, even the drive over to Akaroa is a pleasure (make sure you stop at the Hilltop Tavern for a stunning view of what awaits you). Having stayed before, we knew that the location is perfect for...

I do not usually write reviews, but this accommodation was so outstanding, that I really wanted to do so! Karen was so welcoming of us - which included my guide-dog - and did everything possible to make our stay the most comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable of times. We arrived in the pouring rain, and she made certain that our apartment...

Just finished a 9 night stay at the village inn and I have to say everything was perfect. This was my second time staying here and things have improved out of sight since new managers Kerry and Shane took over 12 months ago. The location is the best in town, right on the wharf and the apartments were clean, spacious...

We spent 2 nights in a 2 story apartment with a small deck overlooking the side street and part of the harbor. The apartment was clean, well equipped and comfortable. The location was across from the pier and within the shopping and restaurant district. Everything was close and convenient. One of the best features happened to be the people running...

Seems that different rooms are 'owned' by different people so some are better than others, the photos here are of the good rooms, we didn't get a 'good' room so the price was too high. Obviouse "Akaroa Tax" happening but if you go here make sure to get the numbers that are on their websites, other rooms just average. That...

Hello honestreviewer2015, All the units and apartments at the Village Inn are privately owned and this is stated in the compendiums and the information sheet in each room. As each room is privately owned, they are furnished according to the owners taste and therefore are very different. We have no 'Akaroa Tax' here at the Village Inn, the units prices...

We just had two nights in room 61, on the ground floor, with a side view (bay window) of the ocean. It exceeded our expectations. Small, but perfectly equipped. The staff (Kerry and Angie) were just delightful and helpful. We'd stay there again--- maybe a larger room next time.

Really lovely time share properties which have seas views and walking distance to the Main Street, restaurants and shops. Clean and kitchenettes provide all you need for making your own meals. Walk to the boat ramp for the dolphin tours.
