Beaufort House is a lovely heritage property in Akaroa. The house is beautifully furnished and the garden area is lush and inviting. We spent two very enjoyable nights there in the charming Shepherd room. The room is somewhat small as is to be expected in a heritage house, but the private balcony made it feel quite spacious. We enjoyed having... More

Thank you for your kind thoughts ... winter time here now and snow on the way ... after a mild start. A good opportunity to get the garden in order before it comes :) Best wishes to you both, Sharon More

This was our initial B&B experience. I now feel sorry for any other establishment trying to emulate the quality of service, surrounds and friendship that my wife and myself received from Noel and Sharon. It will be a very big ask for someone to fill their shoes. Unbelievable standard achieved. Well done.

Our hosts were wonderful - the canapés and wine in the evening were lovely and the room and bed in the Sheppard Room were gorgeous. We only stayed one night and wished we could have stayed for a week!

Spent 3 nights in the Nalder room. Had a wonderful end to our 3 month trip. Certainly the smartest place we stayed the whole time, the whole house is decorated in a very grand manner but it suits the house and is not overpowering. It was lovely to chat to Sharon and Noel and the other guests in the evenings.... More

We came to Akaroa for a family reunion and I cannot imagine a finer setting. Beaufort House speaks from another, much grander, era. Every room is dressed to perfection. It would take much longer than our brief stay to drink it all in. And speaking of drinks we very much enjoyed our special happy hour on the lawn and were... More

Our every expectation was exceeded. Welcoming, thoughtful hosts who sought to ensure our every need was met, combined with a beautifully appointed and presented historic B and B set in charming gardens within the backdrop of scenic Akaroa - we are only sorry we could not stay longer than our two nights! Two delighted Sydneysiders!

We had a vary warm welcome to this delightful house from Sharon and Noel.the house is beautifully furnished , large sitting and dining area, very comfortable room. Our only regret is that we could only stay one night. Akaroa is a beautiful town and Beaufort House is a very splendid place to stay.

We visited Bath briefly in 2012 and thought how picturesqueand steeped in history it was .... I bought a panama hat for my Father from the shop 'Highgrove' which sadly I see has now closed. We have fond memories of our visit and pleased that you have the same of Akaroa! More

Fine house with very welcoming hosts in a great position in Akaroa. Great walks nearby, and the house has a wonderful garden to sit in if the weather is fine. An historic house of great character. Fine breakfasts.

Lovely heritage with fabulous owners who make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The room is perfect but it is the warm welcome and personal touch that make this place special and your stay better than anywhere else. We were sad to leave after 1 night.
