A delightful "posh" B&B that is much better than its website description. Our room was ready earlier than promised and proved to be stylish, roomy and comfortable with excellent en-suite facilities. Breakfast was a la carte with an excellent choice. The house is nicely situated with local restaurants a short walk awayand set in very pleasant gardens. A real treat...

We had the most amazing room overlooking the gardens with a glimpse of the sea. Every single comfort had been carefully thought out from the feather pillows to the delicious biscuits served with tea in china cups. We enjoyed nibbles and wine in the living room with the other guests and the breakfast table had to be seen to be...

We had a "mini-moon" here after our wedding and had a lovely stay. The hosts were very welcoming and had excellent knowledge of the local area. They recommended dinner at Le Bistrot which was delicious. After the hectic build up to our wedding it was lovely just to have a relaxing few nights away and to be looked after by...

Beaufort House Akaroa is a wonderful BB. the owners go out of the way to make all the guest welcome. They start the stay with drinks and nibbles. The breakfast in the morning is excellent. They have an excellent knowledge of their local area and what is good to see locally.

From the moment you enter the elegant hallway of this fine period property and are greeted by your hosts, Noel and Sharon we felt that we were guests, yes, obviously paying guests but somehow you forgot that while you are there. Our bedroom was not massive but then this is a adapted period property, not a motel.A good view over...

What a delightful place - and what gracious and helpful hosts! This is what a B & B ought to be like - you are almost part of the family, of both the owners and the other guests. Mixing with other guests over drinks was a fabulous opportunity to compare notes and to discuss the interesting parts of our lives in...

We were welcomed by Sharon and shown to our room upstairs which overlooked the lovely garden. The bedroom was stylish and there was a tray with fine bone china cups, tea and coffee to make, along with some delicious biscuits to enjoy. It was a short walk to Akaroa with its lovely shops and cafes. Sharon recommended a popular restaurant...

My wife and I spent three wonderful nights at Beaufort House, seeing in the New Year. The house and garden were exquisite. The central location meant that we could walk everywhere, without once needing to use our car. But the best part was the hospitality. Sitting outside in the garden in the evenings, enjoying wine and canapés with our hosts...

3 days in Akaroa - so much to see and do! - and the successful family geneology followup. I know you went back with more than you started, our local historian a wealth of information and photos ....we were rather the league of nations on your 3 day visit. Shaun, I passed your appreciation onto Lisa, who kindly stepped in...

The Beaufort house is amazing. Sharon and Noel are simply fantastic hosts and the little extras that come with a B&B make it all worth it. Wine and snacks in the evening and then a full breakfast in the morning!! We got to know the others staying there during the meal which was great because everyone had more NZ experience...
