Great views, great location, great space and surroundings. We will be back! We stayed at the Penthouse studio which was great for a couple. Plenty of space and privacy and functional kitchen. Right across the road was the beach and easy walk into town for dinner and groceries.

This was a great little find for me and my wife. A beautiful place on the water with the best views ever. Good size places with everything you need (except maybe a fan for the very hot days). Looking forward to our next visit!

This was the perfect spot for our small and intitmate wedding. We booked out the whole place and got married on the deck of the seaview apartment. The booking process was simple, and Mary in particular was very helpful and accommodating. I would definitely come back to stay with a group of friends, or even on our own, in which...

We stopped here for 2 nights before flying home to Brisbane, Akaroa is a lovely French influence place to stop over in. Short walk to town. Was a little bit confusing getting into this accommodation, because there is no office, you had to ring the secretary and obtain the secret pin number to enter to obtain the key to let...

Recently stayed in the 'Island Room' at Akaroa on the Beach for 2 nights. Room was enough for a couple, has no cooking facilities (which is explained both on the website and at time of booking so no surprises here). Heater was turned on for us before arrival, very nice touch :). Bed was comfortable with adequate blankets and towels....

We arrived to unwind and relax and that certainly was what happened. A lovely self contained unit (we had the Seaview room) one of only three in residential Akaroa looking out at a beautiful peaceful harbour with only the sound of the birds. Would highly recommend

This beautiful penthouse apartment is slightly out of the main part of town and so it felt very private and special. However it was very quick and easy to walk in to Akaroa along the sea front. It felt like a home rather than a rental, with many little touches like books, paintings, individual pottery, colourful linen and copious equipment...

We recently stayed for 2 nights at Akaroa on the Beach with two other family couples and found the accommodation, location and views just wonderful. We had the seaview room, the island room and the penthouse room. We were all amazed at the large kitchen/dinning/lounge/large balcony area off the seaview apt and also the wonderful penthouse studio/kitchen/dinning/lounge/balcolyn area. The island...

One of my favourite places on the South Island , a definite must if you are travelling around. The French influence is evident, the cafes are lovely, and they are so friendly . You could easily spend a day here. There are plenty of attractions and "swim with the Dolphins" is amazing.

We stayed for two nights. The room was really nice with clean linens and comfortable bedding. I liked the staff and they gave us privacy which was nice. I felt like I had a home away from home in New Zealand. Akaroa is so charming.

“Be aware the penthouse has no curtains or blinds on the deck to spoil the view, which means it can get very hot inside as it faces the sun. Ok after you open the doors for a while to let the heat out. There are quite a few steps so remember that if you have lots of luggage.”
