Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
Quest Fremantle is favored by guests for its beautiful atmosphere and convenient location, which makes accessing museums, dining, and public transport a breeze. The rooms, often described as clean and comfortable, sometimes receive mixed reviews regarding size and noise levels. The staff's helpfulness stands out, although service consistency has been called into question by some.
Many guests consider the hotel a great value due to its affordability and well-equipped rooms with kitchenettes. While cleanliness generally earns high marks, there has been an isolated incident of a missed cleaning service.

Detailed Reviews
Everything about the Quest worked for us. We got an early check-in, the lady on the desk made it a seamless transition from walking through the doors to lying on the bed in our room. Great location with heaps of restaurants and bars very close. The room was spotlessly clean and was very 'suite-like' rather than a standard hotel room. Parking is off site, but not an issue at all. Overall, a great experience!

We stayed here after a day at Rottenest, the hotel was perfectly located to walk to from the ferry and parking was easy and cheap. The staff are great, really helpful and friendly. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay, the box of chocolate coated almonds was a very welcome surprise! Walking around Freo to get to restaurants and bars was super easy as everything is so close. We will definitely be back!

Excellent location, close to Cafe, Restaurants, shops, carparks, busses, train station, ferry. Excellent rooms and facilities. Booking direct, talking to real human was a very pleasant experience. The wedding reception was across the road at Whitespace and Quest was the excellent choice to rest and freshen up between the wedding ceremony and the reception as well as rest afterwards.

+1
Quest Fremantle, 10-12 April 2022, room 503
Reception was professional and quick. The staff are polite and efficient.
The room was large as booked and met expectations as requested. See photos for layout etc. Lighting is great, and the views from my room were as requested.
The bathroom was a smallish size and would be difficult for two, otherwise nice. It has a separate good sized shower but no bath. Clean and modern and well appointed.Â
Wifi worked well and is complimentary with our room. The TV is of a good size with free to air channels.
Location is five minutes from the Perth train and bus station and handy to most parts of Fremantle, and the many nearby restaurants, cafes and bars.
I didn’t see nor use the Concierge services, but they have baggage carts. There is also a breakfast service but I didn't use it.
Airconditioning was good and worked well, which is nice in a hot Perth day.
The room rate was below normal due to the Coronavirus which has stopped many tourists.
Overall a pleasant three to four star experience thanks to friendly staff, and a nice room. Thank you.

Pretty good overall, complimentary bottle of bubbly was not refrigerated. Got locked out of room before late checkout apparently a system issue. Rainfall shower head in bathroom was better than more expensive hotels

We stayed over the Christmas and New year season. The Quest was the perfect location, with everything in town 10 mins walk. Particularly helpful for a Rottnest Island day trip. The bed was extremely comfortable. The 1 bedroom apartment was well equipped with washer and dryer in the bathroom and a small kitchen. The couch in our room seemed quite dirty. The room was internally facing, so no view and not a lot of light, but very quiet. Level 3 has the shared laundry, but no ventilation, so it was constantly musty. Due to the time of our stay, the room wasn’t serviced for several days. We bought extra supplies from the IGA about 10 mins walk away. The parking is offsite at an outdoor Wilson car park near shed E, but is where all the Rottnest tourists park, so arrive very early or late to park. It is $10 per day, but multiple entry so you can come and go. Get the Wilson parking app to pay up to 2 days online, without having to go to the lot and pay each day. We would stay here again

We had an ok experience. struggled to get a 3rd entry card as room electrics require a card in the slot to operate. Also unlucky to be given a room with badly torn curtains 9not discovered until after unpacked) and wondered why that could not have been avoided as we don't thing the place was full for our 3 night stay. Only one soap provided, not much in the way of tea bags and hot drink sachets. At $300 plus a night we think they could have done better.

Dear valued guest, Thank you for sharing your feedback again, as explained in my previous correspondence we were at full capacity and whilst we have just replaced our sheer curtains in many apartments the torn curtain when you arrived had only just been damaged to that extent.. We have two small bars of soap placed in the apartments each day excluding Sundays and public Holidays, we are about to purchase some Hot Chocolate sachets for our upcoming winter months as per your suggestion. Again we are sorry that the key cards were a faulty batch that were not connecting the power in the apartments, we have since retrieved as many of these as possible to send back to the Supplier. wishing you safe travels, Warm regards Lynn Stollery Hotel General Manager

On a recent trip to Western Australia, we chose to stay at Quest Fremantle, as it was close to the docks, and the city. This was because we had to catch a ferry over to Rottnest Island during our stay.
Reception could not have been more helpful, and we were even able to leave excess luggage with the hotel for a couple of days while we were at Rottnest. It was even waiting for us in our room on our return.
Our room was very pleasant on both occasions, with everything we needed. There was even a laundry for guests which was free, something I've never come across before - a nice surprise.
We were very happy with Quest, and will be looking for a Quest Hotel when we next travel around Australia.

Rooms are tiny and overpriced. Balcony is ridiculously narrow - room for two plastic Bunnings chairs and a small plastic round item in liew of a table. Your back is against your sliding door, your feet up againt the concrete wall which you are looking at instead of the view. You can't even walk past each other. Exhaust fan in the bathroom runs all day and night, very annoying so no sleep for me yay! Being asked for a $100 room bond really annoyed me. I have never been asked to pay this at any hotel anywhere. I've spent 10 years in the accommodation industry and not one property I've worked at requested this unless you were paying cash for the room. Ordered via Deliveroo, still waiting to hear back from the property re the cost of meal. Was told they'll just charge my credit card and I didn't need to be contacted re the charge. Not happy. Will not recommended this property to anyone and will not stay again.

Dear Karla, Again we are sorry that we did not meet your expectations and that the hotel you wished to stay at was not available during your evening in Fremantle. As mentioned in my email to you, we do not have exhaust fans in the Apartments we have a central ventilation system with no motors, so we are sorry that another noise had kept you awake, we have investigated this and cannot hear anything. Our building is a heritage listed building and the concrete walls are part of the original structure for urban views, we do not have Bunnings furnishings on our Balconies. We are not sure what happened with your Pizza charge however this was not charged to us so we have not charged you.. This was also mentioned in my email to you. With regards to the security bond, this is a standard procedure in many hotels globally, this is also noted on your reservation confirmation, your registration card and in all the Hotel Information that is available when you make your booking with Quest. We trust you had a safe trip back to Kalgoorlie. Regards Lynn and all the team at Quest Fremantle
