First, the location couldn't have been better, We were lucky to get a room with a view of the snow covered peaks and the Staubbach Falls. Even otherwise, what a location to be in! The owners are extremely helpful. They helped us plan out our days there and even gave us ideas/tips to save money on those expensive train fares....

We've just returned from a great week away in Hotel Oberland. We last stayed here five years ago and thankfully it's pretty much the same - nice rooms, great food and lovely staff. Our room at the front of the hotel was large and had great views from the private balcony. The bathroom was clean and well equipped. Usual Swiss...

A friendly hotel in the middle of town run by nice English-speaking staff. The restaurant is lively and fun, with a fairly typical Swiss tourist menu. Breakfast buffet is generous and a very nice facility is the lounge with free tea and coffee for residents.

I have been here with a friend and I still remember it as a special place I want to go back to! The hotel is definitely warm and cozy, we had a stunning view of the falls from our bedroom which was comfortable and quiet. There is a lot of nice wood everywhere in the internal spaces and the furniture...

Our 3rd visit to this lovely hotel in a stunning location. A very warm welcome from staff & owners and our family was well catered for. No lift but then its great practice for exploring the stunning alpine locations on each side of the valley which is really what you should be here for as it is stunning, a must...

It was great to be located so close to the alps. In fact, our room had a view of the 984 foot waterfall nearby. It's hard to complain when you have a view that like out your window. However, it's kind of a bare bones hotel. Or maybe it's just a glory-fied hostel? There is no lift and I have...

We used the Hotel Oberland as a base from which to explore the Alpine attractions in the Lauterbrunnen area. The hotel is just a few hundred yards from the BLM service to Murren and the Shilthorn, the Lauterbrunnen banhof (railway station), and the Staubbach waterfall. The more famous Trummelbach Falls are just a short car ride or long walk away...

The Hotel Oberland is conveniently situated in the main street of Lauterbrunnen, a short walk from the station. It is a very old building which has been updated but retains its charm. The hotel is run by a Swiss wife and Australian husband, and all staff spoke excellent English, which makes it a delight for those of us whose German...

We (a middle aged couple with elderly parents) stayed at the Hotel Oberland in early July. The setting is beautiful and the rooms are spacious. Breakfasts were excellent (typical european fare, fresh fruit, etc.). Most of all, the front desk staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
