We were greeted warmly on our arrival by a delightful young woman who was keen to share with us her love for her city. She obviously has great respect for her employer and the history of this place - initially a manchester then grocery store. The rooms have been named after produce - Pimento, Green Tea, Chocolate, for example -...

Best people touch so far, both owner and employees. Superb location. Modern, beautiful design, names of the rooms, etc. The bed far to soft, you sunk in it and the pillows gigantic, so the combination far from ideal, a shame on such a perfect place

This place has a few rooms and is atop a restaurant by the same name. We stayed here during our camino to Compostela. The hosts were very helpful and prepped a fabulous breakfast for us, including eggs, ham and cheese, fruit (even dates and figs and prunes), marmalade, fresh breads, honey, and even custard and cake! Now that's my idea...

We arrived here tired from walking and were warmly welcomed, clean and comfy room and plentiful breakfast. The hotel is a short stroll to the river, bridge and to many restaurants, it is highly recommended

We had a problem with gaining access to this absolutely gorgeous property right in the middle of town. We had arrived early in the morning, having skipped our walk since there was torrential rain. We could not check in then, but met with the owners who told us to come back between 2pm and 2.30pm. We then proceeded to spend...

A wonderful example of how well the Portuguese restore old buildings, making them comfortable whilst retaining the charms of the past. This is an extremely attractive small guesthouse (6 rooms) above a coffee shop which used to be a grocery store (hence the name of the inn "mercearia'). You enter thru the shop which serves excellent pastries and snacks and...

I stayed here for one night. This is a charming hotel with nice views and great attention to detail. The room was well decorated, the bed was comfortable and the owners were very helpful. Breakfast was lovely and the dining room is in an old shop with the original fittings still intact.
