Situated alongside the river and local park this modern hotel has large, airy rooms with large balconies and good bathrooms. Simple in design with a comfortable bed and all the services you would require. It is quite a quiet hotel that does have a bar which is not often used so the foyer is usually quiet and little evidence of other guests until the buffet breakfast. Lots of car parking at the back of the hotel beside the river and an easy stroll into town through a beautiful tree lined walkway in the park. Staff are very helpful and accommodating. Good value for money especially in conparison with hotels in more southern locations of Portugal. Go North!
Ponte de Lima is a charming historic town straddling the Lima River. The hotel is centrally located, and offers large, clean, comfortable rooms, some of which have attractive river views. WiFi is free and laundry services are swift and inexpensive. The staff are welcoming and responsive. The bar offers an interesting selection of local alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Food in the restaurant is fresh, tasty, and served in generous portions. The Spa offers a comprehensive range of health & beauty treatments.
Wonderful hotel! Great staff! Amazing how the receptionist is also the cook! They cater to every need! The breakfast and dinners were excellent. Laundry was very good and reasonable. And best of all, the rooms were large and very modern. Thank you!
This hotel is similar to a Low cost hotel in US. We were only staying overnight in Ponte de Lima so we didn't need a luxury hotel for the night. It served our needs. The evening restaurant staff, one very nice woman, was so helpful with food, wine and ice as we couldn't leave the hotel because my husband had fallen earlier in our travels and could barely walk. We had an upper level room with a nice balcony to sit on to enjoy views and fresh air.
Spent two nights at this hotel in early September during the town's festival - Feiras Novas. If you have never been, definitely go. The fireworks were spectacular. Even though our hotel room was located on the 1st floor, it was really quiet inside offering a great night's sleep. I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and the small terrace that came with our room. The staff were friendly and helped us navigate the activities going on in town.
