We stayed two nights on our walking holiday and had a most wonderful room which was actually a mini apartment in this very old Manor House near the town centre in a quiet street. The room faced south with three large windows facing the beautiful garden and its own balcony. The air conditioning worked well and the room was cleaned well each day with fresh linen. The pool was very clean and warm and you can lie in the garden under orange trees. The owner and host is a true gentleman and takes pride in his house and business. It is only a short walk to all restaurants and shops.
Stayed here during our walking holiday. Pleasant guesthouse, room clean and comfortable, bathroom satisfactory, water in room both days ( so many places fail to replace water). Genetous breakfast- at times to suit customers. Lovely garden and pool. Pleasant host- who was available. Convenient location.
A modest entrance leads up stairs to the accommodation and a surprising and pleasant garden and pool at the back of the house. It is very much a 'town house' with a lot of stairs and our room was rather dark, but adequate. The shower room was cramped. Breakfast was at one large table, which allowed for some interesting conversations if one wished. The host was attentive and helpful. The quinta is close to the town centre.
The guesthouse is located on a quiet street close to the centre of the town, in a lovely spacious old house. There is a pleasant inner courtyard that guests can use, with a nice swimming pool. The host is very courteous, helpful and kind. The room was small but that is the case with most rooms in Portuguese guesthouses. The breakfast was adequate but nothing to get excited about, compared to what was offered in some of the best guesthouses we stayed in on this visit. Similarly, the mattresses and pillows could do with an upgrade to more comfortable and modern ones, I found the inner spring mattress coils hard to sleep on - there was no padding between me and the hard springs. I think this guesthouse would really benefit from some upgrades that would bring it in line with other guesthouses that have more modern updated features especially the breakfast and the mattresses and pillows.…
The furniture is spectacular. A lot of care is given to all the decorations. The guest house is situated in a quiet street but right in town which is awesome. The breakfast is very well supplied and the owner is helpful.
