This magnificent hotel lies within the unique castle of Monemvasia and is so beautiful and traditional that you will never forget your stay. Great big blue view and luxurious rooms make you relax from the moment you step in into your room. Katerina made sure that all our needs met without delays. One of the best omelets i ever had...

The architechture alone is enough reason to stay! Such a beautiful hotel. A short walk from the busy tourist area. Beautiful views everywhere you look. The hosts are very kind and serve a nice breakfast. Monemvasia is magical at night and in the morning, you really must stay at least one night.

Loved our stay, but if you're smart...dont be like us. Listen to the hotel and don't bring luggage to the room, but a small bag. We came later, so had to park well down the hill, and then bringing our checked luggage was a mission. If you do, go along the water (first right after gate), rather than through the...

The staff was very approachable, friendly and very helpful. They really tried their best to satisfy our needs. Amazing view from the room we had which was tastefully decorated and furnished and very clean and quiet. Very comfortable bed and the included breakfast was very good. The bathroom was a little bit small, but the rest of the room had...

Monemvasia is an extraordinary place and climbing up to the Upper Town is well worth the effort. The Lower Town is where the hotel is located, at the far end of the settlement. We heeded the hotel's helpful advice on travelling light and the directions to find the hotel were straightforward. The staff's relatively poor English may have made them...

I have very mixed feelings about this property. On one hand I had a lovely room, Suite #1, which faces the plaza and has an unobstructed view of the ocean. Upon check-in I was provided with a welcome drink of my choice and a plate of snacks. Many of the reviews of this property have focused on the attitude of...

Just spent 10 nights in Sept in this lovely place. The room was great with a balcony and a view of the sea. Everyone was extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful, breakfast delicious. If you have a heavy bag call when you arrive at the city gate and they will give you a hand. Monemvasia was fascinating and a great base...

We stayed for 3 nights in September . It is difficult access and dragging the bags from the parking was a tricky business but I think that's what you have to expect when staying in the Castro . The owner was quick to tell us that we should have put our stuff just for the 3 nights into two small...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
LIKINIA Hotel is a newly built hotel located inside the historic Castle of Monemvasia in the Southern Peloponnese. The stone built hotel, which has been constructed with absolute respect to the historic surroundings and architecture of the Castle, is offering a very pleasant and relaxing accommodation to its guests, thanks to its comfortable furniture and modern equipment. All the architectural elements were preserved during construction, such as arcs and cisterns, while there has been a wonderful combination of marble floors in each room and marble walls in their bathrooms. Its beautiful construction, its bright rooms thanks to their numerous windows, and its tasteful furniture are making LIKINIA Hotel a jewel for the Castle of Monemvasia. LIKINIA Hotel is located in Chrysafitissa Square, which is adjacent to the southern part of the Castle's fortification, just above the sea. Thanks to the hotel's proximity to the sea, most of its 4 suites and 12 rooms have a beautiful sea view and its guests may enjoy the coolness of the sea breeze through its numerous windows. ... more   less
