Stayed here for a week over new year. The place could not be in a better location literally in the centre of the old town. Staff were very friendly, on our first night the heater broke we were supplied a temporary heater and moved to another room the next day. This was handled very well. Would highly recommend

Hotel is very nicely situated. All the places in the Old Town are within short walking distance from it. Personnel is friendly and mainly know their trade. All this said, there are many things missing; everything is nearly good, but not quite. Breakfast was a major diaappointment, as the staff was not able to keep in pace with the need.

The hotel was very disappointing. It is advertised as a 4* hotel but the room I had (Room 206) was nothing like what you would expect from a 4* hotel. When we arrived I found the lid of the toilet cistern missing, one of the shower doors broken and hanging at a strange angle, a large piece of wallpaper near...

Arrived at the airport and hopped on the bus and was dropped off and was in the hotel some 40 minutes later! It's superbly located slap bang in the middle of the old town so central for a quick walk to to the shops a 1 minute stroll to the shop that sells food/snacks and a coffee shop across from...

Fabulous hotel in a great central location in the old town. Lovely traditional decoration and clean rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff and the breakfast was fine with a good selection of hot and cold food. Step out of the front door and a short walk and you will find the House of the Blackheads,St Peter's Church is just round...

Me and my mum loved this hotel, we wanted a typical Latvian hotel and that's what we got, really beautifully decorated, and our room was fantastic!! Ask for a room with a terrace, we did and it was brilliant, over looking the beautiful city watching the snow fall made our weekend there. Great service, staff were great and they offer...

Stayed here for a conference, cheap but pretty classy joint really! Room was excellant, clean and large, en-suite of course but I unplugged the somewhat noisy fridge (I'm used to very quiet nights!). Breakfast buffet was very good (except the coffee machine was a bit temperamental, but they provided a substitute). Receptionists always very friendly and helpful. Great location too,...

Extremely convenient location for the old town and airport bus. We were surprised it was 4 star as the room was quite dark with very standard furniture and plain decor (we were expecting something a bit more art nouveau style). The bathroom was clean and water hot and good pressure, though quite small. The staff were friendly and helpful and...

For a base to explore Riga for a few days we were pleased to have found the Garden Palace. Located right on the edge of Old Town, the impressive frontage includes a useful restaurant and separate tea room within the site. The ground floor reception and corridors were quite plushly decorated in a classic style, which didn't quite extend to...

I spent only one night here in a single room (quite small, but OK for one night). The carpet on the floor had stain marks on it, but the rest of the room was OK. I had to unplug the fridge (minibar) because it was so noisy and located next to the bed, so I wouldn't be able to sleep....
